i still only see this fake (thats right i said it  ) as a list of all the characters that most people want. i belive there is gonna be a character that nobody really knows about to well, just like game and watch in melee. some people who were old enough remembered him, but the majority of the kids who were playing the game had no idea who the heck he was. if i see a roster with someone like that, then to me it will be more belivable. -.- And you forgot to mention: It doesn't count as an obscure, old-school character if it was on IGN's Smash It Up!  I'm gonna start working on that "how to make a good fake roster" advice thing now. Just so any further fake rosters are somewhat amusing. |

Also the quality of the photos is appaling, making me believe that the disc is a fake CD. and that shot of the TV could easily have been made up using the shot that they put on Smash Bros:  And if he did unlock all the chars, why didn't he post a shot of that? Fake. |

Fake.For the picture, it's more believable because it didn't use basic brawl but some other mode with stock choosing. Classic Mode maybe? As for the full roster, with the way he said it, it seems that he hasn't finished the game but got a source of it. However, I still think the full roster part is fake. |

From what I heard the guy that posted the roster was not 2chan but someone pretending to be him in the wake of seeing that he had a copy of Smash, there are YouTube videos of 2chan playing his copy and he's playing around in Classic mode right now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VxrQiCz4_o |

Yea i had looked at this last night (oh so late last night) and read through the forum about what they were saying about it and i think what they were saying was that one guy had the game and another guy had written up the roster. The screen of the starting roster i believe but the "complete roster" i do not.

The only reason fakes seem more credible is because we get closer and closer and get more and more actual confirmations.
Maybe that is the starting screen, but I think he's making educated guesses as to the unlockables based on the final column position as in the mock-up
i pretty much agree with you but i'm pretty sure that's the starting screen |

Alright, I have some comments on this. If he has Brawl way before anyone, its probably fake or home made, and itsnt liscenced to Ninendo. 2nd, this is all over the news, and if found fake, this guys going to jail. 3rd, good job on the photoshop whoever did it.

The thing is i don't think he had it way before anyone else, in fact i think it has only been a day or two. Like someone also said before, it is pointless to make a fake just around a week before the Japanese release and the little details that we can see in the youtube video that was put up only further the credit to him actually having it. I think it is very hard to dispute that this is the genuine article here and we will hopefully get many more screens and videos to prove it. |

There are too many star fox characters in the roster. And out of all of them Krystal Fox and Falco are most likely, so this seems fake. The guy could have used a lightscribe to make the cd.

If it is the real deal(the disc and starting roster) then I'll bet you that this guy is a ninja(I heard there were a lot of those in Japan.) and he broke into a warehouse to steal a copy.
