Wind Waker/Cel-Shaded Link

I would much rather have young Link with the masks to transform into sora, deku and goron.

windwaker link should have items from phantom hourglass exclusives, and his fs would be something to do with a ship or phantom hourglass

First of all, I make a vote for Cel-shaded link instead of masks link. Although he would be cool, I'm afraid hi time has passed. WW Link is the new young link, and Melee was released way after Majora's Mask, enough to incorporate masks link if they had wanted to. I also vote against him because I feel he is far too complex of a character, pkmn trainer is one thing, but masks link is just a little bit too much.

Back to Wind Waker Link. For the moveset, I think the Deku Leaf would be excellent for an over B, as if he was on the ground it would blow them away, but if he was in the air, he'd pull it out and start floating across, and towards the stage if you were using it to recover. I think as an up B, it would be nice to keep with the same sword slash move that regular Link uses, as it brings continuity to the character. as far as a regualr B then, why not the Skull Hammer, or perhaps the .... I've drawn a blank, I need to go play some more wind waker now lol.

I voted for him to be a trophy and nothing else. I realise that they could make him different but i'd rather have a totally unique representative than Link but shorter and more...shaded. If they were to take WW Links sword altogether and make him totally different then that's fine.

i voted for him to be a sticker as well as a trophy. he seem to similar to link. i like the idea of mask link better than cel-shaded link, as mask link would be sorta like pokemon trainer. down b and he transforms into a different mask. if he gets the final smash ball, he does down b and transforms into oni link (fierce diety by his correct name).
i prefer the mask link, but if he was normal young link, he would be a clone of link.

hmm...I'd like to point out that fierce diety isn't correct. I can understand typos but not when it is said to be correct. It's Fierce Deity not Diety. So if you want to say it's correct...please be correct.

Sure, why not?  I don't see any reason not to have a cel-shaded Link to kill and eat!

Seriously, though.  It's a common dream of the more cynical LoZ fans to give a whooping to this strange, cel-shaded mutation of their beloved hero.  I think that alone would make cel-shaded Link worth putting in.

Masks Link, on the other hand?  Brilliant.  If that's the Young Link who makes it, I will be pleased beyond words.  If only so I can play as a Goron.

I would also much rather have masks link then cel-shaded link. Masks link was my idea. It would be really BA to play as a goron and zora and it would be fun to shoot bubbles at people. I just really don't think he's in it. He hasn't been any leaked rosters(I know they propably aren't true but...). He wasn't on any polls and he was just sort of a fan-invented character. But if I could only choose one I would definitely choose Masks Link. Playing as a Zora would be flippin sweet. Here's what I posted at IGN.

I really hope that cel-shaded link is not in this game. Their is no way to give him a unique moveset. However, I do hope that Young Link is in it. He could work kind of like the pokemon trainer and have a deku mask, goron mask, and zora mask. And the Zora and Goron can be the ones from TP.
At that time I had never played Wind Waker. And my feelings about that have changed but I still back up Masks Link. I think this is proof that I was the first one with the idea of Masks Link.

cel shaded link's fs could be stopping time/slowing time down for a while with the help of the spirit of courage from phantom hourglass. or assembling all three pure metals to make the phantom sword, which would make all his moves stronger. or something like that..

and instead of a hookshot he'd use the grappling hook (small and subtle difference i know) for tether recovery and grabs. and he could use the hammer as his down and b.

they could definitely make him unique and different from regular link if they try imo.

What's nice about having the grappling hook is that instead of an instant grab, it has a lasso effect. HAHA. That's what I think is cool. The hammer makes for a great down B. The leaf as a side B. The ballad of gales makes for a good Up B. And I'd say we go for something cool for B. Maybe iron boots? HAHA. Just a thought.

Honestly, Masks Link would be pretty sweet, but other than in the hearts of us older fans of the Zelda (I know we don't seems that much older, but that game released in 2000, thats almost 8 years its been out. Sure, Sakurai is into retro, but I don't think 8 years counts as retro, its sort of that awkward stage between current and retro. The cel-shaded link is the new style of link, and its now been used in 4 games. It is one of the current Link's, and after the success of Wind Waker and especially Phantom Hourglass, I don't know why they wouldn't have included him, at least over Masks Link, an outdated character.

On top of that, I think if its going to be truly "Link", one of his transformations must be regular young link, and I definitely feel that 4 total characters in 1 is way too much. Three, for pkmn trainer, is pushing it, but its still ok, and as long as your fluent enough with them, they don't become awkward, but if you are one character, and you want to be another, and that means transforming 3 times to get there, I'm not up for it.

I would love to see Masks Link, but only if it can be properly executed. Generally, I would much rather see a Cel-shaded Link in Brawl.
