People suggested I make a new thread for the second RPG I'm making so here it is. Now I have a story for this one and it does take place after the events of the first game but I have not actually figured out how to lead the game from start to finish yet (if that makes any sense). There will be characters from SP however I don't know who will be playable or who will even be in the game. I was a bit unsure if I was ever gonna go through with this in the first place but things are starting to look promising. Also it won't be based on SP anymore and more like on what happened in the previous game. I'm saw your posts on facebook about what you would like to see in this one and I will take it into consideration. I will be using whatever will fit the story best though so don't be dissapointed if you aren't a playable character this time round. Feel free to give me more suggestions or ideas if you like. (And yes I will try to make a Repel item  )

it won't be based on SP anymore and more like on what happened in the previous game. So this sequel is going to be more Tales-like? Do explain. I'm saw your posts on facebook about what you would like to see in this one and I will take it into consideration. I will be using whatever will fit the story best though so don't be dissapointed if you aren't a playable character this time round. Hmmm, here are some suggestions: -Balance the NUMBER of skills each player has, so there's variety and any leftover skills can be saved for other possible playable members or bosses. -Try to include as many battle themes as possible. -And if possible, a cutscene mode where we can watch cutscenes we played through already  Feel free to give me more suggestions or ideas if you like. (And yes I will try to make a Repel item  ) NAH, don't add one *trollface*. No need to make the game any easier. It's already bad enough that most RPGs have buffs and debuffs that make battles soooooo easy. Make the players suffer from cheap random encounter deaths. EDIT: We don't need to make the game easy. The first one was perfect in its high difficulty.

I don't like it when people say that they didn't die because the game was too easy because there were options to give you extra benefits. Want to prove the game is not easy, don't use them, it's as simple as that. People get extra whiny when options to make it easy are presented. It's your game to play. Play it whatever way you want, but don't whine over an option that made it easy for you.
So yes, please have a repel. But also, give it some level. Like if it were in the volcano level, it would be weak to chimeras, aka they could still pop out. (Blasted enemies...grumble...grr).

Want to prove the game is not easy, don't use them, it's as simple as that. assuming you meant to prove the game is easy , it's not quite as simple as that . you have to play the game to completion , setting maximum difficulty THE FIRST TIME and you can't look up anything about the game on the internet .

Yeah, exactly. If you don't want to complain about how easy the game is, do that.  I'm assuming you're still mad about Skyward Sword complaints  Not mad, annoyed. It's just darn repetitive. Even in pokémon, I didn't use repel unless it was for rare pokémon chases. The real world has options to make things easy. It's still your choice to go the road less traveled or choose the easy road and then whine about not being fulfilled enough. It's an age long problem. That's why people whine about their jobs, when they didn't put the effort when they were still in school/college. If you choose to do something, make sure you won't regret it. If it does become something you regret, it's your fault and not the option's fault. You chose it, deal with it. That being said, I love these options. I'm not the type to regret the easy options that are given to me when I know I'm in a rut. It's about knowing limitations. They're put there so everyone's limitations can be satisfied. If you're up for a challenge, don't use it.

skyward sword was bullshit . if you want to make the game easy for people who suck , put a menu option at the game load screen . don't expect people to be able to guess which parts of the game they should or shouldn't explore for fear of shitty game ruining spoilers and jewish weapons .

I'm only against the idea of repel because it's a popular item, and the more people use it, the faster the game is. Might as well make one extremely expensive >.>;

Really, I rarely used repel. I actually thought the opportunity to grind in between the areas felt too little. The progression between areas was little so grinding wasn't that much needed, until like the final parts of the game. In pokémon, I felt that the pace was just right, so I didn't mind running into enemies. I always wanted the opportunity to grind. And yes, this was before I knew about EVs.

Oh! Noah, if you ever make SGG optional to play against (at least before they're playable or anything like that), include Malin. I was hype about facing her and Sarah and Kevin, but felt a bit disappointed that she just stood in the side-lines

It was some steampunk machine/tank from some final fantasy game I think? Definitely doesn't exist as a moving sprite (that I know of), but I do have a sprite of a tank-bot that's huge. I can edit it for you, change its color to brown and send you the sheet if you'd like. There's a suggestion for a boss.
