So who else thinks its witty as hell that the triforce on Demise's sword is upside down. I hope the inverted triforce becomes THE symbol for evil in Zelda games now.

I found that totally witty. It's like the reverse star that becomes the pentagram. Here's my interpretation on it though. The tip of the triforce represents power right? The Master Sword doesn't give power to its owner, rather, it feeds off the courage and wisdom of the owner and converts it to power, enough to defeat corrupted power. Demise's does the opposite. It takes in all energy and sucks the power into himself.

I finished the game, finally. Total clocked-in time: 43 hours. To 100% it though, I still need to do the following:

1. One last heart container...from Beedle
2. Connected to the above, Beedle's missing beetle. I don't want to pay so much for a heart container so will have to do this first. That's 5 missing crystals right off the bat.
3. Find all bugs, I'm missing the dragonfly.
4. Bug Medal, again from Beedle
5. Upgrades:
a. Banded to Braced Shield
b. Reinforced to Fortified Shield
c. Bow to Iron Bow to Sacred Bow
d. Bomb bags, Seed satchel and Quiver upgrades
-> This thing needs too many tumbleweeds. I just can't find much of this. I know one foolproof way of getting them though. I also want to have the whole line of shields someday, but I'll concentrate on upgrading them all first.
6. Other than the Beedle crystals, I'm missing 4 more. Then rupees, I need to get 9,900 rupees after.
7. Beat all 11 bosses of lightning round

Just some comments after finishing the game:
1. It feels so surreal seeing the goddess statue at the Sealed Grounds. I was shocked when it went there. (Yes, I didn't spoil everything...) It fit so perfectly. Even the map looks better with it there. Weird thing is, if you look at the location of it in Skyloft, it's nearer to Eldin than it is to Faron. It also feels weird not seeing it in Skyloft.

2. Sky Keep = Best dungeon ever! I even recreated the slide puzzle in Photoshop. Fun to play with it and find new solutions. I got the Triforce in this order: Din's Power, Nayru's Wisdom, Farore's Courage. Fire Sanctuary was the best dungeon until this came.

3. Dragon Song Quests: Faron's Tadtones = the worst, this was highly annoying, I hate her. Lanayru's Timeshift cart, pretty easy actually. Eldin's Bokoblin Camp = what an adrenaline rush, my favorite

4. It feels weird having to complete my original save file while Zelda is stuck getting sucked up by Demise in the past. It's like she's in suspended animation. Sure you know you save the world and there's no real impending doom by your time. But it's still weird knowing you haven't saved the world once you go back in time. Timetravel...one headache of a concept.

5. Silent Realm: Big rush. I did each except Nayru's in my second try. I did Nayru's in my first try. Skyloft is freaking hard with all those watchers. I made it even my strategy to know where the tear was, get myself caught by the watcher, then rush to the tear. It worked most of the time. Din's was a bit annoying because of the distance between the tears. I got caught by a watcher in the ascent and I couldn't find another tear. 2 guardians killed me the first try.

6. Boss battles, especially reliving them through lightning round... Scaldera was actually the easiest. Takes the least hearts from you, and fairly quick to beat. Moldarach got annoying and usually killed me when I never got defeated by it in the required two encounters. Ghirahim ST and FS was varied. Sometimes easy, sometimes hard. Ghirahim SG was freaking annoying. After the Bokoblin horde battle and first phase, my wiimote got its calibration haywired so I learned the hard way by recalibrating to do the stab. It took some time to get the shield bash stab combo working for me, costing me lots of hearts and a fairy. Demise was freaking hard, I had to repeat thrice, simply because after a shield bash, it won't let me catch lightning real quick. And because Demise is taller, he always got lightning first. It took practice to get the shield bashes right, slash at him real quick, get lightning and then slash like wild. That third one took me two fairies. Imprisoned 1st and 3rd are ok, but 2nd is a nightmare when it comes to hearts, because of the lightning. Koloktos and Tentalus are still fun fights. They can take a lot of hearts, but they're still really fun to do. Phase 1 of the Levias fight was damaging because hitting Levias costs a heart, it wasn't so easy hitting those targets. Bilocyte was a new take on the Ganondorf tennis fight but this time, you actually played tennis. There was a phone call buggin me so I didn't get my concentration right there, but it was still fun.

7. Minibosses: Stalfos = Easy, Stalmasters = you get by..., Scervo and Dreadfuse = fun to do some fencing, Horde Battle = hack and slash!

8. Crystals - too bad most of the good ones are towards the end. I feel for Cawlin, I really do. I'm happy for Pipit and Karane. Peatrice may be ugly, but she's so easy to manipulate. hehehehe. Fetching using Scrapper is annoying...I hate that robot. Especially the one where you had to bring him safely up the summit. Grr... My favorite Scrapper quest though was finding Kina a Mogma. It was annoying how you had to go underground again in Eldin Volcano but the way Kina reacts to him is so hilarious. Oh, and I kinda feel bad that I pretty much get Pipit's hardearned cash from his lazy mom. Good for Fledge.

9. Minigames:
Bamboo Island - I did it once. I don't see much fun hack and slashing one bamboo...
Fun Fun Island - I don't really hate Dodoh balls, I just hate the Rupoor space and the brown space. You pay 20 for the game and you either get nada or get 10 rupees taken from you. Was super happy to land the heart container challenge with an extra 500 rupees to boot
Pumpkin Pull - I exactly got 600...hehehe. I didn't attempt to do any better. I like getting a high return from him for such a low cost... 150% return on my money, woot!
Rickety Coaster - This one is fun, but I like real roller coasters better. This reminds me of the TP Snowboard race. That I miss.
Rupee Dig - Don't wanna try it, too expensive
Bug Island - Need to do it still, for Beedle...hate Beedle
Lightning Round Battle - I said my comments about the bosses above. Not being able to use potions or fairies is tough. I'm just so glad I pulled off the Heart Container and HYLIAN SHIELD!!! I fought Koloktos for the 8th battle with around 6 hearts left. After getting two hearts stolen from me, I used shield bashes and jumps to keep myself alive. The goddess shield, despite being ugly, is a godsend (pun intended). I'm just happy I used the Hylian Shield against Ghirahim or else I would have to make another Goddess Sheild... Oh, and the money I made out of it is sweet. Golo's cave is the best place to restock on everything, while the Lanayru Gorge field was a good heart restock.

10. I'll do Hero mode when I'm more confident with my defense skills. I'm too much offense and didn't really care about having my hearts taken, until Ghirahim SG and Demise came. Having no hearts in the field means I'll have to up my shield bash techniques.

Great game. Awesome graphics, storyline, music, and new items.
Also, fuck Demise. Ganondorf will always be better.

More like Ganondorf is Demise's hatred reincarnated, not all of Demise. But yeah, Ganondorf, Malladus, Vaati(?) and Nightmare are all reincarnations of Demise's hatred.

But yeah, that's what I liked about the story itself. It gives a reason as to why Link and Zelda are tied to the fate of saving the world and always kidnapped respectively. All:

Link's have the spirit of the hero, hence carrier of courage
Zelda's have the blood of the goddess, hence carrier of wisdom
Villains have the hatred of Demise, hence carrier of power

Suddenly, the "divine prank" in Twilight Princess isn't much of a prank. Ganondorf was MEANT to carry the Triforce of Power because somehow, Link and Zelda had their pieces already.

Also, it solidifies why Tetra is Zelda. Because she, like her mother, was actually a Zelda. Ooh, and maybe Tetra is named Tetra because Hylia's the fourth goddess.

JUST TO NOTE: I'm three things away from completing (100%) the game:
1. Buy bug medal
2. Catch Gerudo Dragonfly
3. Fill rupees to 9,900

That's actually not wrong. Given that Demise's essence is in the Master Sword, once Link pulled it, the essence must have escaped and corrupted Ganondorf. Thus making Ganondorf a reincarnation of Demise's hatred.

Oh I see. And what's the deal with Impa? Does she constantly get reborn as well?

Oh I see. And what's the deal with Impa? Does she constantly get reborn as well?

In Skyward Sword, it was outright stated that the Sheikah is a race dedicated to protect the blood of the Goddess (Hylia). In OoT, Sheikah are born to protect the blood of the Royal Family. In a way, one particular Sheikah is designated to be the protector of Zelda as she has the blood of the goddess and is of the Royal Family, and she is called Impa... or in TP, Impaz.

So in summary,
Link:
Requirement: has an unbreakable spirit, called in SS as the Spirit of the Hero
-> Doesn't need to be of the same bloodline, although TP Link is a descendant of OoT Link. Speculation claims that OoT Link married Malon, and hence raised TP Link in a farm. As OoT Link had the Triforce of Courage when he went back in time to start a new life, even if Ganondorf had not gone to the Sacred realm, Ganondorf was assigned the Triforce of Power. TP Link then got the Triforce of Courage through the bloodline.

Zelda:
Requirement: is born from the blood of the goddess, Hylia (aka SS Zelda)
-> A good sample is Tetra, who inherits the Triforce of Wisdom from her mother and from King Daphnes Hyrule

Ganondorf/Malladus:
Requirement: reincarnation of Demise's hatred
-> Like Link, doesn't need to be a descendant of Demise.

Impa:
Requirement: Head Sheikah tasked to protect the blood of the goddess, eventually the Royal Family
-> Does not need to be a reincarnation of a previous Impa
