What are your pet peeves about videogames?
Mine are when you have journals/diary entries/audio logs etc, that are just lying around tell you about useles parts of the story, the world around you is being destroyed! you are in a dangerous situation...you did it in school, it was boring, why would you do it now. like in dead space, an alien ripped your insides out, but what do you do? you try your best Anne Frank and right a whole fucking story in your own blood! usually, ironically enough, sentences that have the point being "i don't want to die"

Whenever I find some kind of doorway that doesn't go anywhere, I fume. It just seems like the time wasn't taken out to make that little door go somewhere. It just makes the entire game seem unfinished. I like details. Mine are when you have journals/diary entries/audio logs etc, that are just lying around tell you about useles parts of the story, the world around you is being destroyed!
Aww I like this though. It gives you more background!

Dead ends are always pet peeves. There aren't much in the Zelda games and that's why it's fun.

I hate when Gex isn't added to Smash. It's really annoying.
Oh, and long load times between changing maps.

Like other games, the final boss battle isn't saved so it goes back to your last save. Noah didn't put some recognition that you beat the boss so yeah, it goes back to the last save spot.
This is another pet peeve of mine. I like recognition for beating the final boss, and prefer special events after the boss has been beaten. I don't like beating the boss, watching the end scene, watching the credits, loading that file, and ending up right at the save point where i was at before the boss and having to do it once more. I do not enjoy this. And I don't just want an achievement for it damnit. Damn you for this Noah.

Rare game saves (games that make you play for hours before you find a place you can save). Dialogue and story scenes you can't skip (long ones, mostly). Your favorite characters being killed-off.

@Bobby, that was my pet peeve about Majora's Mask. You had to go out of a temple to save at a bird statue so you wouldn't have to redo the temple just because of the song of time.
@Rocky, in later games, you at least got something when you got to deadends.
A new pet peeve, having to go through caves again and again when traveling the overworld. I need my teleports/fly/surf some point of the game.

Invisible walls and lack of a journal (a menu option that tells you what you last did).

I wonder why game producers don't seem to get it... If I can't get on and moving quickly to the next thing, I very quickly become bored instead. Definitely not something you want in a video game.

It's actually one of my concerns for Skyward Sword. I really do hope that the bird statues (loft birds instead of owls) where you save aren't as scarce as in Majora's Mask. I loved how Twilight Princess let you save anywhere so going back to a statue system has gotten me worried.

i think all you spineless generation z kids would benefit greatly from the end of both save points and walkthroughs . your people have nullified the significance of "beating" a game by playing only games that roll over and allow themselves to be beaten .

Ahhh, MM1...just make sure you don't die in Wily's fortress... Games like that can give you such a headache, but the feeling you get once you beat them is priceless. Assuming you don't lose your mind first, lol.
