Oh look, another version of Cave Story that Zeus can squeal over! But there are 2 key differences in this version: stereoscopic 3D and the characters/environments/what not are now 3D, but the gameplay is still 2D. So it's a 2.5D game, that displays in 3D! Also, it's a full retail game instead of a downloadable game.

I've never tried this series... is it the same game on pc and wiiware? from the video i just watched the pc one looks pretty good.

Looks like Cave Story 3D will expand the stages, include new items, and have hidden characters!

NIS is definitely one of my favorite companies now.(Mostly because of trinity universe, cave story, and disgaea). Capcom's starting to lose me with it's lack of Mega Man games.

I had only learned about Cave Story a few weeks before I learned it was getting a 3DS release.  I am super excited for this!

Also, since each Cave Story release aside from the original PC version has been on a Nintendo system...possible SSB4 character?
