Just a quick update before I get back to doing stuff:

Capcom has announced the creation of Mega Man Legends 3, and apparently they are making it for the 3DS.

It took them long enough, eh? I'll have to look over the announcements later.

Ughhh I have to consider buying this now...

I might fall more for it if they put out more N64 games on it besides Star Fox and OoT. Price point is still high.

Yep.

That makes two huge Megaman games canceled within the past year: Mega Man Universe and Mega Man Legends 3.

I just can't believe that the massive amount of community involvement, creativity, and hype went pointlessly down the drain. I've never seen such large-scale and seamless interaction with fans for a video game. Capcom's turned what could have been a true dream experience into a disaster. They've made some very angry enemies.

Personally, I wasn't planning to buy it because I'd need to purchase a 3DS, but it's still very sad to see it come to this. I wasn't expecting it in the least.

Supposedly the guy most associated with the Mega Man projects - Keiji Inafune - left Capcom some time ago because of disagreements with Capcom's higher ups and a general concern about the company's future.

I expect that the higher ups in Capcom are shutting down all the MM projects because they're bitter about Inafune's departure.

However, it might be that Inafune picks up the MM projects in his own, new company, but that might be difficult due to copyright/licensing issues - in which case he may come up with a MM doppelganger character to carry on in some fashion from where MM left off with Capcom.

That already reminds me with what they did with the Devil May Cry series. They created a knock-off called Bayonetta, and I believe the director of the first game made the latter in Platinum Games under Sega's publication.

Still...I really don't know what to feel about this. I just hope Capcom adds him in MvC3 now. It's the only hope I see he has to still be part of an anticipated game (that's still incomplete to many people).

Might as well go through the process!

The price of the 3DS going down was going to make me get this :c and then I Read the topic :c

Ugh I found out about this and Ultimate MVC3 on the same day >.>
