We're still kicking. College life has--both regrettably and predictably--taken up much of our free time, but it hasn't taken all of it yet!

It's been way too long Bobby. Education just clouded my mind last year, and I had a busy summer with little time to think about smashpower. But it feels good to be back!
so is brawl still being played much around here? Any old members returned or disappeared?

Yeah, education has a way of doing that. Not that it's always a bad thing, per se. It's certainly a good thing to be preoccupied with! The same with busy summers.

Yep, it's still played here - it's the common thread that twines us all together, so to speak.
As to older members returning, a few have returned for short periods of time, but returned to their absence.

Basically Dom, it's a very popular project created by a guy named ZUN (or nick-named that) who created a ton of characters, all girls.  The Touhou series is ridiculously popular, especially on image sites such as danbooru, 4chan, youtube to some extent, MUGEN fans, and even deviantart on a growing rate.  I'm not a Touhou-fan per se, but I do have some pretty awesome pics from them.

But Zeus can't be blamed for trying to introduce it to us, even though I knew about Touhou first than everyone (except Alberto).  They're a series of games.  Ever since Brawl's decline, something new and interesting had to take its place just for a bit, right? (which explains the character battles).  Zeus tried, but then again, we all tried some new things.

All we need to do is keep the site alive as much as possible and wait for another SSB

You know..... I think the only way to really keep the site alive are kids, or at least early teenagers.  Think about it.  We're all adults now (most of us anyway) and college is leeching all our free-time.  With no one to watch over SP, it'll just continue to die out.  We need to encourage younger kids to join the site so at least we have them keeping SP alive.  Muzy and Henry are not enough.  Those are only two.  Think anyone on SP would like to spread the word, especially on IGN?

thanks for clearing that up. Don't worry, I'm not gonna try to ''brainwash'' you guys with foreign cults!

As for keeping the site alive, You're right. We do need a new generation of members. I didn't know we had only two younger members- that's not good. (though I suppose it's hard for them to fit in what with all of us older guys). I will try and spread the word, though I'm not a big IGN user.
My one fear about doing this would be in having our current smashpower turned into a nest/lair of trolls (so to speak) when we eventually say our goodbyes.
