1/14 Game Modes: Challenges*

I think Hammers will probably be awarded for certain acomplisments, or possibly picked up from the coin launcher.  But they might be a set number at the beginning.

Depending on how difficult it is to obtain "Golden Hammers", I may or may not use them.

I would prefer to unlock all the secrets legitimately.

Unless there is a really ridiculous requirement (play online for 1,000 hours - WTF?)!

I agree, as one who loves challenges, I doubt I will use any hammers unless the goal is a mind-number like MewTwo's.

That's probably what I'll save the hammers for.  Things that take a long time but don't really require any actual skill.
When I lost my Melee save and was trying to unlock things, the major snag was getting Mewtwo, because it just required a lot of game time.  If I had a golden hammer, I'd have used it there, but probably only there.

I reset my Melee records so I could enjoy fighting against the unlockables again (as they really appear).

It got to unlocking Mewtwo and I lost interest!

IN Melee ther were two trophies that you could only get if you won a tournament if they do this again they better let me use the hammer to open it

That's the sort of situation where the Golden Hammer would be extremely useful.
To this day I'm still missing the Paper Mario and Capt. Olimar trophy.

Hmm...we don't know Zelda's full moveset...we still don't know her Down Special. Refer to the Special Moves Recap thread.

Her down special is transforming into Sheik...There are only 4 special move types...what move recap thread where?

I wonder if it'll include characters and stages. I'll probably won't use the hammer either, I'll just use it to see what I'd have to do to unlock everything.

Ah, yet another addition to an already overflowing content filled game. Will the madness ever end? I hope not  .

The update was cool imo, and i also agree with everyone else in the boat of using the hammers almost never. Unless the rediculous requirement comes up like *played with each character 200 times in timed matches and 200 times in stock matches* those kind are just asking to be smashed in the face.

Now i know they have the info on Challenges including Stickers, Trophies, CDs BUT then they have the *...* i will use my detective-like skills to determine that there are other things other than those 3 listed items to be unlocked lol. Remember how they said some windows couldn't be broken by the hammer? I'd be willing to bet those are the Hidden Character spots and maybe even stage windows. I hope they don't show a silhoette (sp) of the fighter though, just tell me i will get challenged by someone if i do *insert requirements*.

That's my thought.  I can't imagine a song or a trophy being so cool that it cannot be broken.  I'm guessing characters will be clued in.  I also agree that I hope it's not a shilouette, but just a big question mark over Mario's shilouetted head or something like that.
