Trophies, stickers, music...

Super Smash Bros. Brawl certainly has its share of "rewards" for you to collect. Among them all are several for which I’ve set certain appearance conditions.

So, to help you manage these performance-based rewards, I’ve created the Challenges mode. This mode gives you hints about what you need to do to unlock these items!

This is the Challenges screen.

It’s totally empty. I’d say that if anyone saw this empty screen in-game, it would be an extremely rare occurrence.

Each one of these windows has some condition or another that will unlock it.

When you meet a set of conditions while playing through the game, that window will automatically break open.

KSSSSHHH! Then you get what’s inside!

If there’s a CD inside, you can listen to that CD on the spot.

Hmmm... Nice.

When a window breaks, you see a red silhouette of the windows on either side. When you align the cursor with these windows, you can see the conditions for breaking them open, too.

As you can see...

Use this to take on challenge after challenge so you can earn more, more, MORE prizes! It’s much easier to get excited about it when you know what you have to do.

By the way, you can use as many Golden Hammers as there are down below.

Even windows that aren’t open...

Can be broken open with a little force!

But use the hammers at your own discretion. Once used, a hammer will never return. You’ll want to save them for challenges you just can’t seem to overcome.

Oh, but you should also know that there are some windows even a trusty Golden Hammer won’t break.

And be careful of friends who might egg you on. I mean, imagine you have a hammer, some pristine glass, and a friend who just keeps telling you to break the glass...

It makes you want to break it, huh?

With this function, there's no need to hide anything. By the adjacent windows, if we know a way to unlock one, it'll cause a domino effect of spoilers. Whee! I'm loving this game even more! Spoilers for everyone. Haha.

Too bad it doesn't include characters and stages. Why don't we make our own version for the site for PCs? That might help us know what to do in order to get the hiddens.

Wow, the evidence is really stacking up now.

Some of my initial impressions in regard to this update:

1. The entire scheme is highly reminiscent of Kirby Air Ride for the GC.
2. The Studio is making the task of unlocking CDs and ATs almost child's play. No complaints from me.
3. Don't waste those Golden Hammers! If my memory serves right, one was only granted about 5 of these freebies in Kirby Air Ride.

Overall, a welcome feature for those of us who cannot be bothered with trying to meet every single requirement in order to unlock an AT.
Most of us take care of such secondary issues long after we've had our fill of VS and Story modes.

I don't rate updates. There is no set formula for success or failure I'm aware of.

So here are the compiled ways to unlock some of these characters:
1. Stafy Trophy - Clear Target Smash Level 1 with 10 characters
2. Frozen Hillside Music - Battle on the Halberd 10 times
3. Halberd Trophy - Defeat the Pink Ball Repulsion Event

Other trophies I could distinguish:
1. Birdo
2. Pitfall
3. Grey Fox

Yeah, that really caught me off guard. I thought he was done with all the modes. Turns out Sakurai still has something more up his sleeve.

How many more game modes can there be? So far we have 22. I really hope he's done with game modes and starts giving us more AT's, items, stages, final smashes, moveset(Zelda). Even though we know Zelda's moveset and Final Smash I would still like to see pictures of them. And maybe Sheik has her own Final Smash.

Hmm...we don't know Zelda's full moveset...we still don't know her Down Special. Refer to the Special Moves Recap thread.

Reminded me of the Kirby Air Ride checklist when I first saw it. It looks pretty helpful. I'm just wondering if you can earn golden hammers for this or if you only get them at the beginning.

I'm thinking there'd only be 5 you can use, just like in KAR.

Why do you think it doesn't include characters or stages?  I don't see anything that suggests that.

Edit: Nevermind, I missed the "Trophies, stickers, music..." at the top.  Still, I don't think that necessarily excludes characters and stages.
