Because bandannas and shades are cool.

I am everywhere...I am nowhere...and I am also somewhere inbetween

Mega Man X came out as the winner in the Capcom characters poll for the game, followed by Phoenix Wright.

Capcom has been apparently keeping an eye on this thing, so we'll see what comes of it.

On Marvel's side, Venom came out on top, followed by Gambit.

Finally got my hands on this game and I must say that it is full of awesomesauce!

Love the roster, too.  But one thing confuses me.  Why wasn't Megaman in the roster initially?

I remember reading somewhere that Capcom said it was because they said coming up with a move-set for him would be too difficult.
...Yeah.

I seriously doubt that. They made so many Vs capcom games and I am pretty sure that megaman was in everyone of them so why would it be hard to come up with a move-set for him when they already have done it at least 5 times? The reason why they left him out is to make him available for DLC so they could make more money from the game, everybody loves megaman so naturally they will pay capcom the extra 5 bucks in order to get him. The same thing is being done with Frank west. Money grabbing bastards...

Yep. The reason they gave was so full of holes that no-one is believing it.
I like your DLC idea. That completely makes sense. Regrettably, I'm one of those who would pay... That stuff works. Very well.

That makes sense!
Make the characters people really want DLC!  You make a major profit that way.  It's almost evil.

Ya know, this is exactly what Brawl should've done.  There were many people they couldn't put in, some of which were very wanted, all because of time constraints.
If they had added DLC then perhaps Brawl would be just that much more successful.  But perhaps it's beyond the Wii's capabilities. :/
...No, Guitar Hero and Rock Band can do it.
Oh well.

Well, I think Brawl tried its hardest in terms of that. It wouldn't have been one of the only games that were burned to a double-dvd if it didn't. So yeah, I think the problem really was, at the time, capabilities. What irks me though is that all of this could have been fixed through the use of sd cards, which is now being used for Brawl+, Brawl- and BalancedBrawl; which again wasn't available at that time. If anything, I was most excited to use Plusle and Minun as an alternative to the Ice Climbers and Toon Zelda and Sheik as an alternative to their Twilight counterparts.

Well, either way, Brawl's still awesome Cheesy I'd have to say that in the end, I'd prefer it over MVC3 overall, because of the fact that...

1. The only possible infinites in Brawl are pretty hard to pull off, whereas in MVC3, it's only a matter of a few seconds into the match that you can do one (personal experience, I've only done a laser lock with Falco once in my whole life, and that was online against Juan).

2. I think that when it comes to balancing, in the end, Brawl ends up placing on top of MVC3. Sure, there's the whole "Metaknight, blahblahblah, Snake's too strong blahblahblah," but I mean, in the end, the metagame for Brawl has changed ENTIRELY. You get characters like Sonic who are placing top in tournaments now, and even people like Ness or Diddy are threats. Whereas in MVC3.....you're only facing Sentinels, Dantes, and Magnetos lol.

That's just my opinion, because I just got back into Brawl after being away from it for soooo long. I think I'll probably play some online Brawl matches too if anything. If anyone's up for it, just get on Skype!
