you would give me a couple of weeks, id have to play x1 thru x7 again (never played 8, if there was one) cuz i dont have one example off the top of my head. im pretty sure they have tho.

either way though, claiming that they just named him megaman for marketing purposes doesnt constitute a good enough reason to say he wasnt a version of megaman. that doesnt prove that he isnt one. lots of things happen for marketing reasons, but are still accepted in the canon of video game storylines.

also, would dr. light make another robot exactly the same as the old megaman (in abilities and design) without the intent of it being a different version of the old megaman? that just doesnt make sense to me. x would have to be another version of megaman because he is pretty much the same as the old one.

im pretty sure im annoying people by arguing about seemingly arbitrary things like this, lol...

There was an X8. It was alright though, I liked X7 better
