You've gotta admit. Johnny Bravo isn't that great. I watched some episodes recently and I realized how mediocre it was. I'm not saying I don't like it. My brain is programmed to love that show.
I do really enjoy Johnny Bravo, but I also realize that it isn't that great.
Well that depends... Because Like Jake said...
I believe this is what we call growing up.

^ This is part of our growing phase. You have to admit it though, that back then, the humor in the cartoons we watched actually delivered a punch-line. You know, there was actually something funny going on.
I'm sure we don't like over half the cartoons on TV today because we've literally, all grown up and are out of that phase. I'm sure if we were 10 or 11 again, Chowder would be the next best thing to hit TV.
That depends too Jake. Chowder has some of the cheesiest humor ever conceived in a cartoon. It throws things that are
just not funny. Some of the characters there are annoying. The only one with any humor is that rock thing...
The only real decent (and recent) cartoon on CN is Ben 10: Alien Force. When I watched the first Ben 10, I thought it was a pretty good show and I got into it (in fact, I love it so much, it's great). It has that nostalgic 1990's humor, and has a Teen Titans-style going on (without the anime-style movements itself).
Flapjack is another Spongebob, but greasier, dirtier, more depressing, and..... *shivers*
Quite honestly, even if growing out of something were the case, why didn't I grow out of Ben 10? I can look at old cartoons like Dexter's Lab and I STILL won't grow out of it.
that's called being a kid .
No doubt I feel like a kid-at-heart watching these past-cartoons, but still... That's me and my nature. I personally think the shows back then were funny and cute.
Samurai Jack is 10 times better than Invader Zim.
In my honest opinion, I agree. Invader Zim was a mess and while it was funny and had its moments, most of the humor was really gothic-toned and depressing. Kind of like something out of South Park, but down-graded for kids to be able to watch and a depressive-twist. Samurai Jack was its own particular genre, and being a fan of cartoons with action and plot-line, I would say Samurai Jack > Invader Zim just because I happen to prefer one's style over the other.
