Olimar's size.

We all know that olimar was announced today, and many ppeople said he wouldnt be in because he was small. WELL LISTEN UP! Olimar has been reverted to normal size. Example:



Ok, so he is a bit small... but he is not his real 5 inch size, just like kirby.

And just because he is small, it dosent mean that hes puny and weak.

I hope one of his special moves is he throws pikmin at you. He looks like he could be very strong considering the pikmin thing. It will be kinda cool getting beat up by him and watching him smack you with all his pikmin. I think he will be quick but also very easy to hit. He will probably be about same lightweight as pikachu.

He will not be weak in the wrong hands. he will have the most stratagy of any character.

I think he may be slow or normal speed (the way he looks). And his moves on his own, may be weak and limited. The pikmin may make up for it though, in both speed and power (if they are playable).

If anything this only gives more reason for characters like Ridley to be in the game. People said he would be too big before but this helps give reason that the characters original size doesn't matter and it will be scaled accordingly.

based on the fact that he's not very mobile in either of his games (he can't even jump) i expect his dynamics will be a little slow and wobbly , with limited range . he will probably be similar to yoshi in his movement patters .

is olimar actually meant to be tiny? i thought he was a short human coming to a foreign planet where everything is massive. or is the planet he comes to earth? if so.. why are there big weird monsters everywhere? i dont get it. i played the first pikmin game..

hmm just read up on wiki, it appears pikmin are about 1cm tall. that sorta explains it i guess. maybe 1cm in the pikmin universe is alot bigger than one in the mario universe.. hah i just like to have these things explained to myself..

Same goes for Bowser and Donkey Kong...they've gotten countless resizes. At least Olimar isn't alone.

He did land on earth and i like to think of it as an earth that was taken over by polution and humans are extient.

Actually olimar moves quite fast in my opinion.

You do know that pikmin are very slow when in the first stage of their lives, the leaf. then it goes on to bud, then flower, and get faster each stage. But as you can see in this pic:


Most of the pikmin are flower or bud, so they will move fast.

I also hope that the pikmin have their strenghs and weaknesses. red can go through fire, blue water, yellow electricy, white poison, and purple none. (but they are super strong)
