just ouf of curiosity , what are these many more classics you speak of ?

Sonic 1- Sonic CD. Characters: Amy, Metal Sonic, Mighty, Ray, Espio, Vector, Charmy, Fang, Robotnik, etc. (though I doubt of their appearances) I don't like any other Sonic games past these ones, nor do I consider them classics.

I see what you guys mean about no more 3rd parties, as I agree, but I have to give Sonic an exception. Not that I am a big Sonic fan or anything (I'm only big fans of LOZ, Starfox, and Mario), but I see Sega as a part of Nintendo more than Sony or Microsoft (their best and most worked on games recently belong only to Nintendo, though they all suck), and I'll admit Sonic has been making suckish games as of late (not counting the 2D games, they dominate), but I won't lose faith in the classics. I only suggest Knuckles as he would make for an interesting character (powerful, fast, able to glide) with a great moveset. I also understand why the characters are disliked, even I hate all the characters from the games since Sonic Adventure 2 (I started hating Tails since Sonic Adventure 1), but I liked Knux's character abilities and sprites since Sonic 3 so I favor him. Adding Knuckles is not like adding another 3rd Party, it's not like he's a franchise or anything.

I gotta admit, me too, but gotta keep the love for Knuckles  . In fact I'm gonna make a topic where people can choose who they want to come to the fray most

Way I see it, there is room for only one more Brawl character.  And it has to be one of the following:
Knuckes - He's actually somewhat cool in the way Shadow tried to be (and failed).
Tails - He doesn't try to be cool.  Which is what makes him cool.  Oh, and he can use his tails to helicopter in the air.  That's definetly worth something
Robotnic  - Crazy, over-the-top, robot building megalomaniac.  Every other Sonic villian is a pale reflection of Robotnic and his magnificently extravagant schemes.
