I'm just curious (I'd prefer JRPG, but other RPG's are fine to list ). My personal favorite, if people paid attention during the best game poll, is Chrono Cross. It's just so epically awesome, words can hardly do it justice. Has great visuals for a PS1, has one of my personal favorite video game sound-tracks, a unique list of characters, some of which you can only get by playing the game again and going an alternate route, cool weapons and attacks, deep battle system (takes some getting used to, but after the little tutorial and a few battles you get to love it), intriguing story, and so much more! Edit: I suppose if it's too hard to just pick one RPG, then you could do a top 3, 5, 10, etc.

1.Tales of Symphonia 2.Golden Sun 3.Super Mario RPG series (RPG,Paper and M&L) 4.Pokemon Silver 5.Chrono Trigger
also a few more honorable mentions Ive palyed but arent my favs are: Blue Dragon, Breath of Fire, Summon Knights, DBZ legay of Goku (not really the first one but the 2nd and 3rd were awesome) and the Mario Golf and Tennis games on GBA are fun RPGs

Probably my favorite RPGs are Persona 3 and Oblivion. Persona 3's just...so beautiful And Oblivion's a lot of fun going through quests, travelling dungeons, and killing almost every person you see. The Dark Brotherhood storyline is the best one imo.

For me it would have to be the Pokemon, Oblivion, and Paper Mario games. I guess Fallout 3 as well if it counts. If I had to put them in order, it would be:
1. Pokemon 2. Oblivion 3. Fallout 3 4. Paper Mario(I only played the N64 one)

I like Final Fantasy 1,2,3,4,7,8,9,12 and my favorite is Final Fantasy Tactics for PSone. I also like the Fire Emblem games I played. And of course, Pokemon games for the handheld consoles.

I've never really finished or touch a full-fleshed RPG myself nor have I ever completed one successfully. On the other hand, the Fire Emblem, Chrono series, Golden Sun series, Tales series, and the Persona games look promising each one. If I could ever play them and finish them, I probably would have more keen knowledge on those games since Pablo and Miguel play them.
Poke'mon, yeah... but I don't consider it "full-fleshed". It's fun, don't get me wrong, but I can't consider it RPG for some reason.

Yes, Kingdom Hearts counts, i.e. in KH 1 you choose the weapon of choice and weapon to throw away, and it determines your stats, magic, atk, def., etc. and the 3 questions determining how quickly you lvl up! and KH:COM definitely counts I'd say my favorite RPG's are: Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy, though I've never finished a Final Fantasy game yet Mario&Luigi games I love RPG's so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Tsk tsk, Final Fantasy-tards (no offense to Ryan and Jake) Seriously, some of you guys should really try the Persona games. They've got s pretty big, dramatic, and epic storyline behind them all. Final Fantasy was always on the "ehh, maybe..." side for me. They just didn't appeal to me as much as other games. Chrono Trigger on the other hand....that was pretty damn good too, but I'd much prefer Persona and Oblivion over it.

Yeah, I do recommend Persona as well. They look like really good games, and I should know this cause Pablo has two tvs. One for Wii and one for PS2/360. You would catch a glimpse of all the epicness that room has
