Wow, Hulk.  I always kind of thought of Luigi as "just another Mario clone."  But wow... there's a lot more to the Man in Green than meets the eye, I see.  I never thought about all those little subtleties.  Suddenly, I want Luigi in Brawl if only to see you demonstrate your techniques live.
Ajax's words about tried and true combos ring true.  The combo I listed for Peach, as I think I mentioned, serves more as a psychological warfare trick then anything.  Make it clear you know what you're doing, that sort of thing.  But the real trick, as he said, is to change quickly and efficiently.  If your opponent is a fool (or a CPU), you can get away with spamming a trick until victory.  But against a real player, a reasonably unpredictable play-style can throw your foe off guard.  I'm not suggesting using Peach as a tank for varieties sake, of course, but changing combos just as your opponent picks up on them.  The second time a tried-and-true combo is countered is usually when you should abandon it, maybe throwing it back in later to keep your foe off-balance.

haha yeh i practice chaosbliss. im at the end of my course with sh*t al to do so i get home at midday and play smash for a few hours not sure if its doing any good though.. honestly when you practice its so hard to bring that through into gameplay. especially when its heated gameplay. and computers are rubbish to pracitce against. they teach you to expect what no sane human player would ever do. i dunno if its the same in the NTSC version but lv 9 computer marth does NOTHING except try to grab you. bowser does nothing but breath fire, kirby does nothing but up b. its like fighting a complete smash noob (who can chain grab like a machine and powershield lol)

omg sooo true
they become the most annoying opponents.

a very common misconception of Luigi is that he is a clone.  He ws in the first game, but he's not in the second.

While his movesets are similar, certain elements are significantly different to give him some major differences.

While they look similar Mario and Luigi's aereal moves function completely different.  Luigi's fast speed and strong power in the air, versus mario's stability and heavy power on the ground, make them almost completely different in actual use.

Also Luigi's slippery feet allow him to move like no other character in the game.  In fact, his entire move set is built on the idea of being hard to predict.

And obviously, Mario's magic cape, versus Luigi's rocket headbutt mean they handle long range combat and recovery completely differently.

In fact, Mario is the only character I can't play decently because if I try to play him like Luigi I fail.

Once I get the game and get Luigi unlocked (assuming he hasn't changed too much) I WILL show you the power of the Green Plumber and teach you why you should "Ph34r teh l04ph3rz!" (fear the loafers, Luigi's shoes)

Theres not really anybody who can relate to Pit in SSBM, so I wouldnt say you'd be very prepared on the 1st day its released, but over time you'll get it.

lmao@ the ganon punch comment. this has happened to me alot: the match will start, ill be fox playing ganon. ill stand still just for the fun of it, and the cpu will walk up to me and charge up a punch. and ill still stand there and it wont even reach me lmao. i love doing that, makes ganon look stupid, then i just kick ganon all over the place and send him soaring through the sky Grin

Yeah, but you know what really interests me? The idea of Online Tourney Clans. I would love to be in 1, or even create one. Shocked
