The way I play with Fox, just a few simple strategies. The Throwdown: Basically I like to make a quick approach to my opponents, do a quick grab+down, and use the reflector on em. Its a good way to cause some damage. Power Kicks: Obviously as Fox, you gotta use the kicks. Upwards, Sideways, always best for sending your opponents flying. Roll & Smash: 1 thing I like to do is when an enemy gets in close range, I'll roll behind em, use my Throwdown, and use a nice power kick to get em away. Air Fire: When I have my opponents in the air, I never let em touch the ground, I use the grabs, the kicks, and the always handy FIRE to send my opponents into the sky Well I may not be the best at Fox, but I know a few good ways to kill somebody lol. Anybody else like to share their techniques?

With good ol' Peach?
The most obvious is don't get hit. She dodges quite fast, and a dodge-roll allows me to get behind my would-be attacker, grab them, and attack. It's especially wonderful in what I've nicknamed the Megadeth combo (see below).
Her up+A smash is her strongest basic ground attack. Grab, toss up, up+A, maybe with an umbrella stab for damage.
Her mid-air forward+A is amazing. It's got a small sweet spot, but it hurts! I learned that the hard way from a fellow Peach player, and never forgot it.
Her forward+B is slow, but it can send a paralyzed enemy flying.
Flight is the key. As well as her umbrella, she can float over the battlefield for a while; a combo of holding up+A and then pressing up+B iwhen it falters is enough to get her from one edge of the Final Destination to another without touching the ground. (Useful when the ground belongs to Mewtwo, Ganondorf, and Giga Bowser...)
Items are wonderful. In particular, everyone loves the beamsword, and Peach uses it surprisingly well. Her forward+A standard with the beamsword is particularly good, IMHO. Quick and strong.
If I'm feeling arrogant, and my victim's health is low, I pull off the Megadeth combo. When they use a slow attack (Ganondorf's basic B is a perfect examples), I begin singing the lyrics of Megadeth's "Symphony of Destruction." "Just like the pied piper" (as I dodge behind) "Led rats through the street" (as I grab and toss up) "We dance like marionettes" (as they fall down) "Swaying to the symphony of destruction! (As I up+A them.) Doesn't always work. Not always practical, but immensely fun to do, especially as psychological warfare. I've yet to pull off the combo on-tempo to the song, but people rarely notice that detail.

For most players that wanna use Lucas in Brawl a good way to get better at that type of player is to use Ness in SSBM. Some strategies are to do the pika fire to hold them and then hit the oppenent with the bat. Also when doing pikacross have a good distance between you and the opponenet so when they walk right into it and boom their screwed. Use his pika thunder to shoot him into opposing characters as well. I guess thats really all you need to know about different things about Ness. If you practice then youll get used to Ness, and you'll pwn with Lucas in Brawl.

Luigi had some great techniques.
Mostly if you use his hurricane, right before he hits the ground, he can zoom across half the battle field.
His standard air A move sends the enemy straight up a random height. People who are not ready for it can often be juggled for quite a bit before they get out. (warning, don't try on a good Link player)
His aereal moves all have high priority, so staying in the air means you can lash out in all four directions and often chase somebody after you hit them to hit them again.
His forward chop (forward and A in the air) is his strongest smash, extremely fast, and high priority, so it's a great way to finish somebody off. Approach them in a run and then do a quick hop and SLAM.
As humurous as it is, his charge attack sucks, as it deals little damage, no smash, and leaves him vulnerable. Best to interrupt a run with a downward smash move instead.
His side kick (forward and A on the ground) is quick with deceptive range. walk forward and lash out with it to throw people off their game. Good against low damage enemies.
His recovery is forward and B (Luigi Cannon) instead of Up and B (his uppercut, which doesn't take him over at all). This gives him long range recovery (use a bunch of low powered charges instead of one high powered) but can easily be edge guarded (especially by Link). The solution is to aim for the actual platform itself. You will headbutt it, and fall, then you use Up and B to catch it and the edge guarder won't have had a chance to hit you. There's also a chance that you'll explode (10% I believe) which will most likely catch the guarder off guard and probably kill him.
His high jumping and high priority made it easy for him to follow somebody over the edge, Judo Chop them to their doom and still make it back
Finally, his Point Blank Uppercut is very useful, but only on enemies that leave themselves vulnerable. Anybody asleep (obviously) and very useful agaisnt Link and Jigglypuff. Also good on anybody who broke their shield.
He also had the only taunt in the game that could cause damage (1% and no smash). This actually was possible to use to effectiveness (though still inferior to real moves) as it dealt damage below him, meaning he could kick somebody off who was holding onto the ledge.

actually you can use luigis taunt as a meteor smash, time it right and you will send the opposition flying toward the ground.@fox yo its the middle of roys sword thats stronger .and zelda is my character and i good tech that i would use is the side a with sheik then in midair quickly change into zelda and side a again and make sure that you get them with the magic bubble for the electrical damage.great for edgeguarding as zelda can get back on stage much easier then shiek can.

a few tips for slower/laggier characters. before brawl comes out, practice hard L-cancelling laggy arials and timing attacks with startup time. practice shuffling too (because l cancelling is in brawl, dont bother with glitchy tricks like wavedashing etc. cos theres no point). theres plenty of guides on youtube that will give you a good idea of what combos can be done. but most important for slower characters is DONT STICK TO A TRIED AND TRUE COMBO! honestly i cant stress it enough. 10% of smash is about knowing some cool combos, 10% is advanced tricks, 30% is about knowing all about your characters attacks and lags and 50% is about not being predictable! as soon as you start repeating set patterns of attack (eg. roll behind, grab, down throw followed by up tilt a) your opponent will find some way of sensing it, blocking it, then eventualy countering it and kicking your ass. i used to destroy my bros marth with links combos but after using 1 combo a million times, i get wasted whenever i try. (high vs low tier doesnt help but im determined that links laggyness can be overlooked XD). i can easily kill him with yoshi samus or zelda, not that im better with those guys but because i know his attack patterns and because im less predictable with them. its taking me a while to break the habit with link.

great point ajax098 i cant stress how many time i have seen people use marths up A then get pummeled.i can wavedash but never liked it because it took the fun out of (of course its not stopping others from using it)the game.i peffred that everyone come up with there own combos because thats as you said very important.and if you are predictible than i expect that you practice youre ass of because if you dont you will be betting on matches more often.

@chaos: ahhh ok, wasnt really sure about that, i knew the end of marths sword was the strongest, thought they were both the same lol.
and good point ajax. the level 9 cpu's in Melee pretty much do the same things over and over and over, so predictable

haha yeh i practice chaosbliss. im at the end of my course with sh*t al to do so i get home at midday and play smash for a few hours not sure if its doing any good though.. honestly when you practice its so hard to bring that through into gameplay. especially when its heated gameplay. and computers are rubbish to pracitce against. they teach you to expect what no sane human player would ever do. i dunno if its the same in the NTSC version but lv 9 computer marth does NOTHING except try to grab you. bowser does nothing but breath fire, kirby does nothing but up b. its like fighting a complete smash noob (who can chain grab like a machine and powershield lol)
