I was just wondering what sort of strategies you have to avoid these FSes. I think putting in avoiding Peach strategies is lame because you just need to be in the air.

That's why Peach is very defensive. Diddy's fires opposite of where he's headed so in a way...it is still possible to knock people out of the air with him. But having other ones like Kirby, Metaknight, Dedede, Jigglypuff, Pit and Sonic won't hurt ot just dodge the attacks. And you didn't say anything about Dedede and Pit's FS that rains Waddle Dees and Centurions respectively.

Return of the response. As a Peach player, the answer is simple. Fly. She's not fast, but she's manueverable. Keep out of the way of somebody charging up an FS, and float above them. There's a lack of AA weapons in Brawl, firework launcher aside. Unless we're talking about Pikachu or Sonic, who can knock people out of the air. (Diddy only fires down, so I'm not counting him.) In that case, stick to terra firma and dodge. Peach dodges quite well. She can also float out of the way of the iceberg. (DJ has responded above.) Of course, dodging the aforementioned Waddle Dees and Centurions will require old fashioned speed, skill, and that one thing I seem to have plenty of: luck. Luckily, Peach is a good dodger.

Concerning "wave" Final Smashes for characters like Mario, PKMN Trainer, and Samus, the consensus seems to be simply to jump over their heads and attack from behind when they end. Close-range Final Smashes like Kirby's, DK's, Peach's, and Meta Knight's appear to be easier to dodge than the others. The aerial Final Smashes of Pikachu, Yoshi, Sonic, and Diddy Kong could prove to be a challenge since each respective character seems to gain maneuverability and invincibility at the same time. Characters who utilize "horde" Final Smashes like King Dedede, Pit, Lucas, and possibly Pikmin & Olimar, could be dodged with skill and timing. Unfortunately, "wave dashing" is no longer possible.  So far, the characters who seem unstoppable while in FS form are Wario and Bowser. Both have the potential to be the ones who players will try to stop from attaining the Smash Ball when it spawns. EDIT: The correct term is "wave dashing," not "wave riding." Additionally, I removed Fox from the "wave" FS category. Mea culpa.

Both have the potential to be the ones who players will try to stop from attaining the Smash Ball when it spawns. well said specs, i totally agree with you for all of that but i don't think foxs' landmaster goes in the category of 'wave' attacks,he's more like in the last section i think.it seems to have good manoeverablity and it can hover, seems tough and with a powerful 'potentially' 1HKO -seems pretty good to me
