Sora from Kingdom hearts would be a great Brawler, hes got the moves, hes not too young, hes a great fighter, khcom was on the Gba.

Welcome robinbeirne and 7LinkMcCloud81, this is a great site for interaction with other Smash Bros. lovers as well as our endless speculation and problem solving. I'm pretty sure we have disproved the inclusion of about 27 characters (fictional number but you get my point). Hope you guys will like it here.

I dunno, me being a Nintendo enthusiast and all  , I don't prefer too much 3rd parties, but I'm fully fine with Snake and especially Sonic (gotta love the classics). Still, to me, Sora would be a bit too much. I may just be being a hypocrite though, as I have never gotten into the KH series. Besides we should probably listen to dcmjlive and contribute to the main thread. Robin, just click the "Remove Topic" button at the bottom of the thread.

Sora would be cool. specially his FS that would be cool. It could be something with his key or call upon Donald Duck and Goofy for help. I could see sora with his move-sets and all. I think he would be great.

how is Snake a classic?  I can see Sonic, but Snake?

Zero, first of all I think he was just reffering to Sonic.  Second of all FYI Snake actually is more classic thatn Sonic.  Metal Gear was released a few years before Sonic the Hedehog.

How old you are does not make you a classic.  The original Metal Gear was a quiet unnoticed game (mostly because it was ahead of it's time, the system couldn't truly support what they were trying to do) and the game didn't have any kind of pull until it became the Solid Series.  Sonic has been recognizable and in a lot more games for a much longer time.

I still don't see Sora as "disneyfying" Smash, as his entire character, powers, and stages could theoretically be done in such a way that Disney never shows up (though most likely it would in his Final Smash)

I don't think any of us know enough about the red tape involved in 3rd parties to say if that would be an element.  I don't even know if they'd need to pay anything to Disney, as I believe Squeenix owns Sora completely, but I'm not sure.  Also, given the advertising nature of the game, and the apparant buddy-buddiness of some of the higher ups, it's possible that no money changes hands or it goes the other way.  Snake was added as a favor to a friend, so I doubt they had to pay Konami for his likeness.

But as I stated before.  I don't know.  None of us do.

I'm willing to bet that Nintendo paid for Sonics' inclusion though how much exactly we may never know. Though i've heard plenty of bad things about the Olympics game to recommend you only rent it at most.
