Owen...sorry for the late reply. I was using my cellphone to post here a few hours back. Anyways, Fire Kirby does not refer to Bowser's fire move. It's when you suck in a Fire Flower, you become Fire Kirby. Fire Kirby is one of those trophies in Melee. That's what it becomes. I think Sakurai took the liberty to use old established hats and new ones as well.
That had occured to me, but I don't think we have enough information to know that for sure. We have one guy reporting, no screenshots and no descriptions, so any slip of the tongue, or different way of phrasing things cannot be checked. Yes, I consider Fire Kirby to be Kirby with the flaming hat, but at the same time, Bowser Hat Kirby is for all intensive purposes the same move, so he might have just meant that. As I said before, I'm sure we'll get more information, and there's a good chance that you are correct, but at this point we can't say either way for sure.
