It's definitely a supportive argument, but by no means proof. It could just be the way he has his wii set up. Or Mii's could merely be an options marker, like from Super Mario Galaxy

Hmm...actually, as much as it is farfetched, it could be. If Sakurai really wanted the other channels not to interfere with Brawl, he would have removed even the Mii Channel. But the Mii Channel may not be there because of the Mii as a PC but because we do have Wii music, like the Mii Channel Music, for the Pictochat Stage.

The way i see it
A) It's Sakurai's or sombodies personal Wii and that's just the way he has it set up
B) It's set up for Smash Bros, which means the Mii is used to some degree but it could be anything.

Yeah... I've learned to stay offline when caffeine hyped. Or at least give a disclaimer. Still, DJ makes a valid, if vague point. Besides, with the Mii Channel Music, Miis are looking possible. More likely, this shot comes from an isolated Wii used soley to test stuff for Brawl. |
