I took it out once before... Does that hurt it? I put it back in too, and then that's when I noticed it didn't work right...

it doesn't hurt it to take it out , but it needs to be in for homebrew to work .

i guess try to install it again , making sure that you format the SD card first .
i can't think of why homebrew would all of a sudden stop working unless you moved , deleted , or modified the files it needs to run .
