I am extremely happy with the outcome of my wii modifications (software mods only) and i thought now might be a good time to share that happiness with anyone who might be of interest .

If you want to have any of these modifications , you must not have upgraded to wii system menu 4.0 , which blocks many of the necessary vulnerabilities . It's better if you just don't update at all from wiiconnect24 . all necessary updates can be carried out safely using 3rd party utilities .

so , before i continue , who here would be interested in an extensive tutorial for all this stuff ?

THIS JUST IN :

homebrew developers have found a way to modify the wii even if you have applied the system update 4.0 which previously crippled all modifications .

we will be having a workshop for users that are interested in exploring the possibilities of wii modification . i was thinking monday around 3:00 pacific time . again , i need to know who is interested in this , and if there is some better time that people can make it .

what you will need :

a wii
an sd card
internet connection

I'd be interested - will you be conducting the tutorial through chat or something else?

I'd like to get a hold of some games if possible too.

Possibly N64.

I have a spare 1GB SD Card so hopefully that will be able to hold enough data.

Time is good for me I think.

Quick question: Do I need Twilight Princess (Wii version) to run this homebrew stuff or is that unnecessary now?

I just looked into it briefly and I couldn't tell if it was still important (a lot of references to a 'Twilight Hack' but no mention of it being Wii version or GC version).

you don't need twilight princess anymore .

the original method uses twilight princess for wii , with manipulated save game files . that methdod doesn't work anymore for system 4.0 , but there is another method that works for all versions and regions and doesn't require twilight princess .

I'm trying to stay awway from hacks because they shorten games way too much sometimes. I use glitches!

* Zero would be interested, but lacks the SD card and the internet access via Wii (unless it's just regular internet acess, then TFO could do that), but TFO would still lack the SD card  Cry
