im giving illnesz the credit for giving me this idea. We should have a spolier only section. You can only post spoilers in that section. And also you cant put any spoilers in the title of your thread. I will never go in the spoiler section, but the title of threads come out and into other places.That way i will stay.

I know it's not the time to be bitter but I made this idea back in November. Even before a lot of people were here. Honestly, I even proposed we give passwords in order to enter as well. But hey, I guess my knowledge of this site's beginnings are being benign and forgotten. Especially by you Zero who has totally forgotten that we talked about this. I know it's a great idea because I started it but I won't let anyone take credit for my idea. I'm sorry. And Rocky has already agreed to make this section as soon as the time is right. Moreover, he'll try his best with the passwords. I'm so sorry to be bitter but yeah, it was my idea. Not only so, I even proposed that we make two types of threads...how to get secrets without spoilers and the spoiler secret page itself. You could read all about it in the how-tos. Must I stress how important reading those threads are. Rocky even put a sticky note so that it SHOULD be the FIRST ones to be read. And I'm sorry but this is not the right section to post this thread. There already is a thread on this. Forgive me but this is the problem when people don't try to even look at the history. This site is just over 2 months and reading at least the how-tos wouldn't even take you 10 minutes of your time. We were simply talking of how to make the site spoilerless in the Secrets and Unlocks section...see there is a spoiler section already...sheesh...and in that...there will be two baby sections...here's what I posted:

There should be two sections then: Spoiler-free and Character-reveal

Character Reveal would be also a place of discussion on how happy you are that this secret character came out...but it'll basically be the spoiler counterpart of spoiler-free

Spoiler-Free would also have the tips on how to get the next character easily.

Don't you guys think this would work?

obviously, there should be no extended silence on new characters.  I say follow these rules.

(note: I'm not in any official position to this, I just think this is a fair way to keep things civil without chasing people off)
1) We set up a spoiler free guide
2) We don't mention "hidden characters" in the topics of posts.  Instead, we refer to them by their chart position
3) We mark any post talking about a hidden character with a spoiler tag
4) About 1-2 months into the process, it is assumed common knowledge and the entire practice of protecting identities is scrapped

So I'm sorry if I come off mad and angry but don't you see we already made provisions for this. I suddenly wondered why this topic was brought up again when it was already settled. And...here's what Rocky said about this:

I wouldn't implode to say the least. I'm just really concerned that no one cares about the past. People talk about things that have been talked about before and as much as I love Brawl, hearing it brought up again is really tiring. And this is the sort of topic that is found not only in an important thread but on the forum page itself. It's staring us right in front of us and people are worrying as hell about spoilers. Could we guys look if things have been settled before being worried about it. I don't care now whose idea it was...even if it was mine. For Pete's sake, let's be at least a bit responsible. Read the how-tos, think of other people...I know this is a place to enjoy but it's not much to enjoy if there are things that are disturbing. Frankly, I think I know why Sarah and Owen want to leave for a duration. It's because they think the people here aren't responsible enough to control the things that get out here. It's all impulse. It's nice and all but it's the new year guys and we might as well think of people here. Would it take anyone 10 minutes to read the how-tos?

Short of it is: I'm fed up with the lack of sensitivity. The only reason this spoiler thread happened is because some people don't give a damn. People would spoil but not care about those who don't like it to be spoiled. So if we're going to thank someone, let's thank the right people. If we're going to talk about something, talk responsibly. If our spellings could change what we mean, by all means be more careful. That's all.

its a forum, things are bound to get repeated. its not a lack of sensitivity, its just the fact that not everyone wants to search a ton of comments in a ton of threads to see IF something has been mentioned before. i mean, seriously, this is a forum for a game, not something for school or work where you should be expected to know every little detail about something. so its not that serious if things get repeated.

DJ, even though you set plans up for a none spolier "how to unlock character" section, most of us agreed that that was to much of a spoiler because you can have an idea of who will be next to who. Link has an emty space next to him. Pretty good chance its Midna or Gannon and you gave away how to get Midna or Ganon. And say Ganon is already unlocked. You gave away how to get Midna. Thats why that idea wont work in my opion. And dont complain about who the credit goes to. Illnesz TOLD me the idea. You never came and say= "What about a none spoiler unlock section". I gave credit to whoevers post i read first about it. And why does it matter anyway? Its not like you win 100 free posts if you get credit for this...

It mattered because it proved something, even you didn't read the how-tos. If someone like you doesn't read them, when will we be able to truly settle things without anyone feeling...that someone stole the idea. When you give credit to a person, you acknowledge it was HIS/HER idea. Now that's unfair to the one who's idea it was. I don't care if I don't get anything out of this. All I want is people to show some respect. And if one doesn't have the common decency to say sorry then you are not worth my respect. I have high regard for you Sarah, I truly feel you have a great heart. But, being insensitive to something like this, when I have warned many to read the how-tos, when I have told people to learn about some of the site's history...I thought you of all people would have listened. But yeah, I guess you're not the person I thought you were. I'm not mad at you. I'm not forcing you to give me the recognition I deserve. It's just that I am disappointed. And with spoiler sections...yeah, you could have clues so what. You still wouldn't know. So what if the PC is beside Link, the PC could be beside Mario and you wouldn't know for sure. So what if you have a clue. They're just clues. It hasn't spoiled anything for you. It still keeps you guessing. Sure, the more characters you get, the more clues but you will never know for sure. You're favorite, Mr. Game and Watch was unveiled right between the pokémon and the fire emblem people but you never knew it would come. You could have simply guessed a pkmn or a fire emblem character but no. Young Link more seems unexpected. It could have been easily another character. If you guys would live in fear and die that a spoiler would come out, then die already and see if I care. You're just giving yourself reasons. I respect your decision to leave the site first. If that's how you want to cope then fine. The site as much ideas you want to put in to solve this problem is almost unsolveable. Especially if you're around people...people who are just human and could be so happy they'd spoil something so good. People who are sensitive like me to see something's gone wrong. So Sarah, I reacted so badly because it was you, I would have given a short warning if you were like everyone else. But you're someone a highly regard. So if you don't want my respect...I'm fine with it. And Andy may have told the idea but that doesn't mean it's his. The site has been a cornucopia of ideas and the person might have gotten it from someone else. I'm not disappointed because I didn't get the recognition. I'm disappointed because you failed my expectations that came from your impressions.

if you did feel hurt, I'm real sorry. I didn't mean it that way. It could have been anyone's idea. I'm real sorry if you got caught in the middle here. And I said I didn't care if I got it. Seriously, I'm sorry that you got caught in our fight. And I'm sorry illz...I remembered it but it slipped out. Sorry. I don't think you could have taken it from my idea. My point was is that it could have come earlier. I'm not even saying you stole it from me. Maybe we should just do the anonymous thanking instead. It worked well for a lot and no one gets hurt with that. I'm real sorry. I just couldn't see why there is such a big deal about spoilers. WOW!!! You guys are over reacting. Who cares who's idea it is. It's sucky idea anyway. jk jk.    But seriously it's kind of hard to not have this game get spoiled(unless you lock yourself in your room) becuz you're gonna have other websites that are gonna spoil it and friends that will spoil it. So it's not like the game won't get spoiled for you elsewhere.
