Also, what is his likely-hood that he will make it in brawl?

geno is a character from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, which was a game made by squaresoft and nintendo, using nintendo characters. it was the first mario rpg, made for the super nintendo, and is one of the greatest rpgs ever made.
geno is a doll in the game who becomes possessed by a spirit (something like that, i forgot exactly what it was), a spirit who wants to help restore the stars back to their rightful place, so he helps mario in that goal.
hes a pretty cool character in the game, and ppl want him in brawl because of the overall greatness of the super mario rpg franchise, and his coolness in that game. (and because he has no games of his own.)
i recommend playing super mario rpg. its a great game.

If I remember correctly...Geno was one of the guardians of the Star Road that the evil Smithy crashed through and spread across the world in seven pieces. He possessed the doll of a young boy in Rose Town and joined Mario's team shortly after. He had a lot of projectile based attacks that focused either on having his hands fold backwards and shoot bullets (or stars) and shooting his arms like rockets at the enemy.
Wow...I really want to play Mario RPG now...great game.

I think he'd be fun actually. Although, if he counts as the Square contribution to the game I'd rather see some other characters. I mean...in the end Geno was in a Mario game.

I'll admit i've never gotten familiar with the Geno character but i know he definitley has a split fanbase. Many say that they don't like him for various reasons from looks to how the character is himself. Though many others love him just for just about the same reasons but on a positive standpoint. I guess i wouldn't care if he was included but i agree that if Square intends on donating only 1 representative then i would hope it's not Geno. There is a deep and rich Square library, we dont need another Mario representative populating the pages of this Smash chapter.

I wouldn't mind his addition, but I prefer the frog-cloud guy, (forget his name right now)
But yeah, if he arrives I hope he counts as a Nintendo character and not a Square character. Because even though Square helped create it, it's still a Nintendo game.
Of course, if Geno makes it, and Square has no 3rd party inclusion, that doesn't prove that Geno is "Square's Character" as it could simply be that Square never wanted/worked out a character.
Ultimately, I hope that we get a Square Character other than Geno (Sora!). If we get that, I'm okay with Geno being in the game. If we don't get a square character, I don't want Geno in the game, because it will eat me up inside (not really, but at the same time, I'm sure we'll have people (not you guys) whining that Geno stole the spot from Sora or Cloud or Chrono, etc)

I did not realize that Sora and Geno were in the same category: Square. As much as I would like to see Sora in Brawl, I highly doubt he is. They would have to get the rights from Disney as well, cause what is a Final Smash w/o Donald or Goofy?
As far as looks go for Geno: That was back in the SNES days, I am sure they would give him a better look and especially for Brawl!
BTW- I always thought that Mallow was a pansy!
