Chapter 7: Taking a long-walk there...
Page 1:
Always and always, there will always be war. The reckoning of man-kind; it's own demolition; a rain upon which corrodes the exterior and shows the inner soul of us all. Yes, it's a cycle, but when it speaks of Drocons, man is no different. Both races serve a long-running history of unforgivable sins. Humans who dictate upon one another, scream upon a voice-of-reason, and enslave a sense of belief and disbelief to one another. Hence, religious war. Drocons on the other hand, enslave other worlds and leave behind a sphere of despair, in search of treasure. Greed is a word for them, and selfish is one for man-kind.
So, what is the moral of today? None, there never is. As long as man continue to strive upon a never-ending tasteless hate upon each other, even "hope" ceases to exist alongside a team of believers. There is never a moral here. The only true lesson lies within that man, and only that man can hope to share his knowledge with others. Only then shall his people learn of enlightenment and truth whether some are agnostic about or not...
Everyone has their view-points, but none are ever correct...
Now, man is forgiven, but only by the enemy. Ryokou, the city that was nearly torn down by a Drocon fleet, merely escaped destruction by choice. It was a deal almost made by the Devil himself. You committed a crime so foul, he somehow forgives that sin and HE decides your fate. It is only unanimous by God's decision on whether he will forgive you or not. It seems that Shikon, in this case, is the Devil and showed a sense of pity towards the inhabitants of that town:Shikon (out there somewhere): These tribe of humans aren't even worth killing...
But what sinful actions has Ryokou done? Does this speak in general terms? Either way, it matters not. Karoku and his allies continue their journey yet in order to enlighten themselves. Now it's time to see how things look for the citizens of Ryokou...
Just around the same time Karoku and Kevin have left in one piece after fighting Tim, Ryokou has some trouble healing its wounds. Meanwhile, during that time, things have gotten a lot less hopeful. Even Cerreta feels regretful about losing his favorite students, and yes, Karoku and Giino are one of them.
Though as hopeless as the mood of the town seems, back in the plains lie the completely destroyed home of the two Senian Siblings, and where this mess lies, lies one child with a dream.
Hold on.... the two Senian Siblings? What happened with Senio and him leaving?
Sumire, walking by what appears to be a torn bed and a wrecked book case, gets her back pack and takes two entirely burned books.
She walks outside the door, with great irony that it stands. In fact, sorrow runs so hard on her cheeks, she can't help but to ignore the empty walls of her house.
Her eyes are dead blank. A river of tears form into waterfalls, pouring one-by-one from her eyes. She feels like the average homeless man. On the other hand, it doesn't look so depressive for one kid at all...Sumire (wiping her tears): *Sniff* Senio, stay out of trouble. I'm going to class today, and while I'm gone, I want y- ..... SENIO!!! WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE?!?
Senio, who was playing with his cards, catches them in the air and runs to Sumire.Senio (scratching his head): Hahaha! Yeah, I just figured, when you slept over at Katrina's after the reckage, that I should warm up a little before I get myself killed out there. You know, I just wanted to make sure I'm ready for the world!... (Pauses for a moment) Wait, you're giving me our book? Why? I thought I was-
Sumire: I trust you with it. You're the only one who has something to protect, unlike the rest of us. Well, I better get going, or I'm late. And hey, let me know when you're leaving out on your own okay? I'll make you lunch too!
Sumire runs to Union Academy hoping to get there in time for a new and pointless day.
Senio looks at his cards, now giving him a gesture of "stall her" and "she's wrong." Puzzled by what his cards are trying to tell him, he calls Sumire.Senio (remembering what his cards tried to tell him): WAIT!!!
Sumire stops and looks back, with her feet on the final line of their grass.Sumire (impatient): What is it little brother?
Senio: You're wrong! You do have something to protect! That's your own kid brother standing here! You think all hope is gone! Quit acting all emo and straighten up! There's something called "starting all over!" Is this what you want me to learn from you! I thought you were a good role-model!
Senio crosses his arms and nods with his cards, in a comical "mmhmm, that's right" fashion.
Sumire smiles a bit and makes her way with a little more confidence.Sumire (with tears turning-sweet): (Senio, you are as spoiled as ever. Thank you...)
Senio: Ahh, that's much better. Heh, speaking of which (turns to his cards), we need to continue our training!
Senio grabs his cards and tosses them in the air. He appears to be making arm signals, crossing one another and making them clash each other, ensuring their corners connect perfectly. Trying to achieve formation, he collects the light from the sun to speed things up. He works his muscles, pulling the weight of his own power. It stresses him out, but he does not give up.
That boy with hope left in this town is Senio himself.Senio (grinning with excitement): (Karoku, I promise you this) When we reunite, we'll not only become a team, we'll also fight and see who's the true victor here. I hope you're doing fine out there man.
* Senio focuses all the energy in his cards and collides all of them in one fatal strike
Senio: HIYAAAAAAAA!!!
CHIIIIIING!!!!!He literally breaks the sun light, and for a few moments, light bursts so hard it shines upon the Horizon, blinding any who looks into it. It also emits a hot wave of sun light, killing a few birds and burning them into oblivion with not a speck of dust or even a scent of their cremated bodies. The light also goes so far, it dries up the water in a cloud and forms into a large ball of hot steam.Senio (tired out): Okay, that's not how I planned it, but damn, that was sooo cool!
Senio lies on the grass with his body making the shape of an angel.
A bell rings from far away and scares a few birds, who mistakenly, run into the wave and burn themselves to death. Only this time, the wave is dying, and their bodies land on Senio.Senio (getting up and throwing the pigeons on the floor): PFFT! EWWW! GROSS! GAHH!!
Senio's stomach makes a noise, and he looks at the pile of dead birds.Senio: Nope, I'm not going to do it. In fact, I'll wait until Sumire brings me something to eat!
Senio sits on a rock and hears his stomach grumble again, he looks at the birds and back at the direction of his sister.Senio (feeling uncomfortable): Awww maaaaaaan....
Sumire, who enters her class room, looks at everyone else who appear to be as down as ever. Cerreta who still has some motivation in him left, has a board chalked in "The Understanding of Team-work and Plan-sessions."Sumire: S-sorry I'm late, Cerreta-sensei. My History books were all.... torn up.
Cerreta: I know, Sumire. Please, take a seat so that we may start on today's lesson. We have a lot to catch up to.
Everyone in class: Hai!
Cerreta (skipping attendance and pointing at the board's title): Okay, let's begin!
Page 2:
Starting out in a new day of school, it seems karma is not on Sumire's side. Everyone else has their supplies, still, and one rather unimpressed looking face has all that is needed, untouched and unharmed. A rather large and bulky fellow has a giant hammer right by his side, and an oni-like girl sits beside the goth girl. Across the room sits a strange-looking fellow with a slanted nose, an average boy just texting possibly his friend in another class. Next to him is a cute Blondie who seems to be chewing on her pen. Everyone seems to be distracted other than the devil-girl and the eerie-looking lass.Cerreta (tapping on the board repetitively): Thanks to a certain
someone, we're stuck in a mid-life crisis. But, seeing as how we still have our limbs attached to our bodies, we might as well keep them that way. You see, there's a little something you say that will get someone else to come, right? It's like cat and mouse. Squeal and they'll smell you out, and apparently, that
someone disobeyed the rules. Thanks to
him, we all have been stepped and spared by the Drocon race, especially the leader, and what's worse, it was that one action that completely shattered the light of this town. Mocking us, he spared us claiming we are a danger to ourselves already...
Sumire looks at the goth girl, who does an evil grin. She covers that smirk with her hands, and crosses her fingers together like a ponderer of some sort. The oni girl just stares at her, smiling though not as nasty as her grin. She gives her gestures with her own eye movements, and the other girl just giggles.Sumire (hissing quietly at the goth girl, to herself): (I hate that girl...)
Apparently, she hears it, and smiles wider. She looks at Sumire without turning her head-Cerreta: Keya-mari! Pay attention! Now...
Keya-mari is the name of the rather nasty young lady. She wears a sleeveless Gothic-Lolita shirt with hues of purple and black. Her skirt is albeit short, and her boots cover almost all of her legs. Her arm sleeves cover most of her arms, in fact, her whole attire seems to hide her skin. She also has a strange hair-style, 4 pony-tails with messy hair protruding from each knot. Her hair is also purple, and by the looks of her, she doesn't seem too friendly at all.Cerreta: The best defense against an invading terrestrial force is to leave the premises without evidence of populace. Anything important to anyone must come first before their least, for one's possession may be the one thing the enemy are looking for...
The oni girl raises her hand.Cerreta: Yes, Samantha?
Samantha: Well, where would we run off to? I bet the enemy doesn't know about my haven. You're all more than welcomed to come along (smiles mischievously).
Sumire (whispering): Yeah right, so we all become your human slaves? You faker...
Samantha (smiling): Haha, I was only suggesting....
Samantha is a lavender-skinned oni girl (or devil girl). Her appearance is close to a Succubus, with wings on her head and on the lower back of her body. She wears a kimono with lovely patterns. She has horns on her head and wears square glasses. She is also rather busty compared to the others, in fact, she has the largest breasts out of all the other women in school (even the older ones). She is also very beautiful, often stalked by other boys and the "unpopular" group. Despite her demonic features, she is not evil, prior to her status as Queen of the Underworld (or Under Ryokou in her current location).Keya-mari: Honya-chan, may I remind you to NOT speak to the unpopular girl? Oh, and Sumire, you're dead meat. Just you wait till it's lunch time, you self-centered bitch...
Sumire (shocked and afraid): (Self-centered? Who is she kidding?)
Keya-mari makes that evil grin yet again and makes her left hand radiate in sheer force. Doing this, sets the lights in class to lose control and blow a fuse.Cerreta: Keya-mari, this is the 7th time this week...
Keya-mari: Sorry, Cerreta-senpai. Won't happen again (smiles as if innocent).
The bell rings and everyone heads to period 2, but before this happens, Cerreta stops Keya-mari.Sumire (walking with Samantha): I hate that girl...
Samantha (blushing): I don't know, she's actually kind of hot- I mean, she's okay, I guess. Pushy, but pretty cool.
They walk together to another class, meanwhile, Keya-mari stays with Cerreta.Keya-mari (trying to look innocent): I didn't disrupt your lesson, did I?
Cerreta: Keya-mari, quit the act. You're not a saint. In fact, you're no different from Karoku, and for someone I consider a delinquent, you sure know how to keep a boundary, which is why I trust you with this assignment I'm about to give you...
Keya-mari: I'm all ears, sensei.
Cerreta: Very well. Just a note, you will pass for the year if you succeed.
Keya-mari: But I have more than enough credits to pass, and I'm clearly smarter than all the other miscreants in here. There has to be a reward much bigger. By the way, where are Senichi and Giino?
Cerreta: That's where I'm getting at...
Page 3:
Cerreta lowers his voice and grabs his ruler, tapping his other hand with it. He takes a deep breath and lets out the air. Knowing Keya-mari for her loud-mouth, over-confident mannerisms, he seals the room shut and closes the door window.Cerreta: Karoku, Giino, and Senichi all left Ryokou as fugitives. They all escaped our city borders and have headed out to survive on their own. I'm worried they may turn against us for reasons unknown. You've known Karoku for many years, through unfair torture and long-loved desire in his torment, which I disapprove of; that tough love you share with him, knowing he still walks on two feet and writes with two hands. The thing is, Karoku has had it hard for many years, and because of us, we've only encouraged him to turn away from us. I can't blame him for being mistreated, and honestly, he is one of my brightest students, and favorites. Please Keya-mari, bring him and his friends back. Bring them back alive, and please, try not to come back with bruises. I will omit points from your grade if you do so. I want them back in one piece, no more, no less!
Keya-mari smirks and grabs Cerreta's apple, sitting there, untouched. She leans on his deck as of higher order. Relieved that she did not glee in this, Cerreta puts his ruler away and ignores Keya-mari's rude behavior.Keya-mari: So, you're trusting me? One with high caliber? You must be joking... What if I
feel like tearing Karoku's arms and legs and rearrange his face? What if I literally teared Giino's mouth off, or even take out Senichi's "good" eye? You don't know me sensei, I can be critical and relentless (grins diabolically). You fear me, and you know it.
Cerreta turns red and gulps. Realizing her strength, he is overwhelmed, but tries to convince her otherwise.Cerreta: I know you, Keya-mari. I've seen your methods, and personally, if it wasn't for your position as a Chapter, I would have thrown you off long ago. It's not like I have a choice, and you're only a favorite because of your knowledge. Please, I beg of you. Bring them back!
Keya-mari (chewing a piece of the apple): Very well then. But..... you'll keep your promise, right?
Cerreta: Yes, I will.
Keya-mari: Very well then. You will start by making this a default advancement towards everyone in the student body; I will have more than enough credits to pass, 5x times as much, and not matter what I do, it shall be ignored, and that means I get to do whatever I want to any student here. That means Karoku, most of all (evil grin).
Cerreta: WAIT-
Keya-mari: You said you'd keep your promise. I just added more to it, and issued a bonus to your offer. Sorry, but, you agreed. Is there anyone else in this pile of junk that can handle a schizophrenic cutie, an innocent Under-Ryokan, and a loud-mouth Jester? Well, maybe not that last one, but you get the idea *wink*.
Cerreta: No, everyone else here would fail...
Keya-mari: Exactly sensei. Now, I should get going to next class. Can you give me a late pass?
Cerreta: Yeah sure. Be back here during Lunch so I can explain a little more of your mission and why they left. Well, why Senichi and Giino joined, those are reasons unknown.
Keya-mari: Yeah-yeah, whatever...
Cerreta gives her a late pass and sits on his chair during his lunch break.Keya-mari: Have a nice day, sensei!
Keya-mari leaves the apple she had eaten on Cerreta's desk. He watches it, sizzling from her deadly touch. It eliminates purple aura somewhat, and leaves a foul and venomous smell.Cerreta (with regret): Hmmm.....
Keya-mari walks down the hallway, making her way to her next class. As she walks, she enters the bathroom. More and more, her smile becomes darker and sinister the more she thinks about her "extra-credit assignment." Eager to start, she tries to kill these thoughts by cooling her burning/venomous hands at one of the bathroom sinks.
Despite efforts, these thoughts are attached to her like nicotine.Keya-mari (talking to herself): Don't worry sweetheart. You'll get what you want. Oh yes, you will find your package, and you will open it with much joy and happiness. Your package will be delivered, and it will arrive soon...
She does this, looking at the mirror, and apparently, she's out-of-control. Leaning her arms on a sink, she hears someone enter the bathroom as well.
A young and fit Asian girl, moderately short in height/hair length with small pony-tails behind them. She appears to be wearing armor on her legs and several areas. The metal armor seems to be resemble a steam-punk style, with bronze/copper colors and blue-print detail as well. She also has a lead pipe with her with the same kind of style. Her regular clothing is of a dark navy color. She sees Keya-mari and salutes her with a friendly turn of her right hand.Keya-mari: What are you looking at, Katrina?
Katrina (the name of the steam-punk girl): Oh, I noticed you're washing your face. Anything bothering you?
Knowing her own voice is getting the best of her, Keya-mari holds back on any rude remarks or harsh actions, and spares Katrina the trouble with a simple "meh..."Katrina (relieved): It's probably nothing, I suppose. You look a little sick though. Do you want me to bring you to the nurse?
Katrina seems to speak almost like an android, almost at least. Her voice is a combination of voice-echoes and metallic vocal speech. Whenever she speaks, it seems like she's talking through a large metal pipe.
Her problem comes from the fact that she has a defective lung, so she has a built-in iron lung inside of her chest. This is the cause of her vocal problems.Keya-mari (smiling): Nah, I'm fine. So, what's going on over there?
Katrina: Nothing important. Mr. Rojas is just revising last week's buzz on The Great Gatsby. You'd think we'd read something from the early 2000, huh?
Keya-mari: Whatever, I guess. I'm always ready for anything he has to throw at me anyway.
Katrina: Yeah, I'm highly aware of that. You practically get higher grades than I do!
Keya-mari: Thanks. Now if you will excuse me, I have to review a book I've read a million times.
Keya-mari gives Katrina a friendly slap on her face from the opposite side of her right palmKeya-mari: Stay out of trouble, okay?
Walking her way to class, Keya-mari enters Mr. Rojas' room and greets everyone with her fist clenched.Keya-mari (walking by and leaving Mr. Rojas a note): Here you go, Rojas...
Rojas is a short, and bald fellow. He appears clean-shave (with a mustache left), and wears a red shirt. He also wears glasses and carries with him, a strange yard-stick. He looks calm, unworried or unshaken by her presence. Rojas is one of the few, if not the only, person to show no fear of her.Rojas (reading the paper): Hmm, very well. Keya-mari, please take your seat and we will proceed with today's lesson. Ask any of your friends for notes. I will throw in a test tomorrow, and it will count for 30% of your marking period grade.
Keya-mari: Yeah, yeah, whatever.
Rojas: Watch that tone of yours, young lady. You may be Ms. Tough girl, but under my roof, you are like everyone else and I will suspend you if I have to. I have the authority to do it, therefore I can and will.
Rojas, cool and strong, keeps Keya-mari silent and shut.
Aware that she is under no control here, she surrenders and does as told without her usual remarks or gestures.Keya-mari: Sorry sensei...
She takes her seat next to the same tall and muscular fellow with the large hammer, in back of what appears to be Katrina's seat, in front of the same blond girl from her first class, and left to a blond Italian girl.Keya-mari: This is the best day ever...
Later that day.....Page 4:
The cafeteria welcomes every student and teacher during their break. It is the first period of lunch, and everyone is eager to grab a bite on what there is left to chew.
Sumire and Keya-mari walk by each other through the same cafeteria door. Both give each other a cold stare, only Sumire shakes a little on the inside. They sit at separate tables, despite her warnings.
It is absolutely crowded and chaotic in the cafeteria room. Everyone rushes in line for a taste of the putrid and foul finery served under a school facility, at least to most, that is. Having almost no food supply, the teenagers fight for whatever food there is left. Unfortunately, some already have their own food packed and sealed tightly for a good lunch. As for those unfortunate souls, well, they just left the serving table a 20-foot wasteland.
One lucky young man, glimmering in a dashing blue uniform with golden embroidery and other kingly jewels, has a nice lunch with what appears to be a set of candles, a waiter, and a menu?Redgrave (the young rich boy): Yes, this looks like a fine meal to start off with! I would like to have the
Cherry-wood dolphin, marinated in garlic butter, oh- and do add wine, yes!
Oh yes, a fine young fellow. Blond hair, blue eyes. A sight to marvel among the lower class women; A true gentlemen indeed, but what of his presence in a school? Can he not live his life wealthy and worry-free?
He does seem to carry two twin rapiers, one of gold and platinum.
He asks the waiter to serve him only the finest brewery in wine, and closes his menu, handing it over.Waiter (taking his things and leaving): Of course sir.
On the other side of the lunch room, Keya-mari smirks and takes out her lunch.Keya-mari (unamused): .....So... hungry...
She tosses out her sandwich and looks back at Redgrave's table, now drooling and what he could have possibly ordered.Redgrave: Oh dear, I should have ordered for chips as well... Oh well, I guess the red wine will make an appetizing side-drink of course.
Samantha and Lilly walk by, with Lilly giving him a displeasing look.Lilly: Eating dolphins!?! How could you!? That's mutiny! You rich people and your.... gihhh, disgusting habits!
Redgrave (staring at Samantha): You have it all wrong, my dear. This is a different dolphin. Not the ones with spouts on their heads, dear no! I adore dolphins! These are just different ones. Of course, you would understand that, now would you, my love?
Samantha (blushing and smiling in embarrassment): Oh shut up! Hehehe...
Lilly (feeling ignored): HEY! THAT'S NOT-
The waiter interrupts with Redgrave's food, and serves it on the table as if nothing happened.Redgrave (drooling with excitement): Variety really is the spice of life! And I am among the variety!
But before Redgrave could stuff his mouth like a sophisticated young man, his food vanishes right before his eyes.Keya-mari (eating the food with her own hands): Yeah, whatever, pansy boy. (Taking the wine and drinking it) Mmmhmm, being filthy rich does stink, does it?
Redgrave (turning red): YOU NO-GOOD MISCREANT! I DEMAND THAT YOU- On second thought, keep it (I really despise that free-thinking brute).
Sumire walks by to see what the commotion was all about.Sumire: Keya-mari, don't you think you cause enough trouble around?
Keya-mari (talking with her mouth full): Beat it, softie. I'm busy being Robin Hood and doing the pleasure of serving myself, with tiara boy here.
Sumire (hesitantly): Didn't you say you wanted to take this outside!? Remember early this morning!?
Keya-mari (swallowing her food): Riiiiiight....
Keya-mari and everyone else around the room look at her, as if she has lost her mind.Keya-mari (laughing): I think you lost your marbles pretty damn well, 'cause apparently, I see broken bones and missing limbs. You care to give up the ghost now? Well, if you're that excited, then-
Sumire: JUST SHUT UP! I'M TIRED OF RUNNING AWAY FROM YOU! YOU CONCEITED, LOW-LIFE, CARELESS BITCH!
Everyone else looks at her in awe and pity, and drop their jaws after they all see her stand up to the school's most feared member. Mr. Rojas, who appears to be checking homework, looks as calm as ever.Rojas (smiling): Heh, way to keep her mouth shut, for once.
Redgrave: Silenced by the peasant girl! My my, that is truly a memory to keep sake in o-
Keya-mari (clenching her fist): Shut up...
Redgrave (shivering): O-okay...
Page 5:
The bell rings with a cold tone, with time knowing what is to come between these two. To Keya-mari, it isn't worth the effort..... to hurt her much. Everyone quickly leaves Sumire and Keya-mari alone, leaving the cafeteria a wasteland. Suspense, the ultimate time-killer, travels through the path of their raging eyes. One fearful, one very grim stare, both look at each other until.....* Keya-mari unsheathes her Sai and places the tip under Sumire's chin
Keya-mari: You just hit rock-bottom from here, sweetheart.
Sumire (afraid): *Gulp* Umm...
* Sumire teleports behind Keya-mari in great speed and holds the back of her neck with one hand, and holds her right hand behind her back
Sumire: You really annoy me and the whole school...
Keya-mari: Stupid girl. I guess Recess is out of the option then.
* Keya-mari ignites herself in purple fire and burns Sumire, who's icy touch melts within contact
Sumire (too much pain to agonize from): Gih....
With that however, Cerreta-sama barges in with a beat-stick and a death glare.Sumire (relieved): CERRETA! THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE H-
Cerreta (ignoring Sumire): Keya-mari, may I have a quick word.
Keya-mari: Hmm? What is it sensei? Oh right, we were to have a discussion about those jerks, right?
Cerreta (closing the door): Yeah, I see you forgot to see me during lunch. Don't worry, I guess Recess will do. Sumire, please leave the premises. These are important matters I have to discuss.
Sumire: Umm, okay...
Sumire leaves trying to cool her neck and hands while Keya-mari puts her sai away.Keya-mari: Okay Cerreta-sensei. Lay it on me.
Sumire, who exits the doors, remains put next to a wall, trying to listen on to their conversation.Cerreta: Okay. Remember a few years ago, that accident that happened? The one where Karoku lost his conscience and went entirely berserk?
Keya-mari: Uhuh, I was there, the whole time. Disappointing to see him hurt that way.....
Cerreta: I'm glad you have a place in your heart for hi-
Keya-mari: I should have caused the pain ((frowns)). Anyway, go ahead.
Cerreta (displeased): Yeah.... anyway, ever since, he has had a chronic short-term memory loss. Yesterday, his memory was totally wiped out. The only thing he remembers is his ego and anything apart from the subject of Ryokou. I really don't know what caused it. I was told he was quarantine for quite awhile after experiencing a seizure. All I can remember is that he went through a lot of pain and emotional distress. Because of my harsh threats and unfair punishments, I only made him madder than he already was. Who knows what he will do out there to other innocent lives? Probably take out his rage on others. He almost succeeded if it weren't for Shikon-
Keya-mari: Guess that explains why he was gone for so long, huh? Well, I'm sure he won't remember me. If he did, it'd make my job harder. After all, he did hate me back then. Imagine he still knows me?
Cerreta: Heavily doubted....
The two continue to talk while Sumire writes everything said in their conversation. Eager to tell the others, she makes a sound....
Cerreta and Keya-mari stop for a few seconds, and resume conversing.
As for Sumire, she calms down and looks at her written notes so far.Sumire (excited): This is epic! Keya-mari is leaving! I mean, yeah, she's gonna go after Karoku, but still! Karoku can take her on anyway! Please stay out of her way. I don't want you hurt in her arms.....
Sumire continues to write more and more and listens to all the valuable information released by this secret meeting.Cerreta: Well, we should get going now. Keya-mari, prepare your things; food, water, supplies. Everything. I'll make a note of your absence to the staff. They will not know of this. Do not tell anyone, understand?
Keya-mari: Yeah-yeah. But first, one thing...
Cerreta: Yes? What is it?
Keya-mari: What if someone else gets to them first? I-I don't want to be left a harbinger if I don't have things to crush. If he dies, then life is pointless to me.
Cerreta: Let me ask you this.
Keya-mari (feeling melancholic): *Sigh* What is it?
Page 6:
Both take a seat, while Cerreta takes out his sword, polishing it with alcohol.Cerreta (looking at his reflection in the blade): Why Karoku, specifically? Why not the most incapable student, the most impaired, disabled, meanest, strongest, weakest, nicest, most sophisticated; why is it all these missing qualities in him that you so chose to go without, and settle for someone another can be? What if you found someone that looked like him, had it harder (or easier), and suffered a similar case.
Why him?
Keya-mari (staying quiet): .... Ummm....
Cerreta (still polishing his blade): Don't worry, this won't go to your marking period grade. It's just a question. I'm just curious.
Keya-mari: Heh, well, look at him. He's still alive after all, I mean, he just never seems to die. He's been beaten so many times- He's the punching bag that will never burn into cinders or fall into pieces, and that's what I like. Knowing that he's gotten so far, I don't want to lose him, knowing I'm not the cause. If I were the cause, I would have put my strength to the test. Sensei, I try... I don't know how he can take it, but I try.
Cerreta: Hmph. It seems like he's fit to be your rival. After all, he
just won't die. *Chuckle*
Keya-mari gets up and walks away with her arms crossed, looking at the ceiling and cries a bit.Keya-mari: I never realized how obsessed I became with one man.
Cerreta: Heh, you sound so grown up, you have to refer to him with authority. I guess you respect him after all.
Keya-mari (wiping her tears away): I suppose so. Well, I have to get my ass to work and bring all I need. I don't want to waste a moment in this garbage town, no offense...
Cerreta: Non-taken. Be careful out there.
Keya-mari: Yeah, see ya...
Sumire places everything away and gets up to leave-Keya-mari (taking Sumire's notes and burning them to oblivion): Hey bitch. I'll be seeing you in Hell.
She continues to just walk by as if nothing happened, while Sumire stands there shaking in fetal position only to stand up in relief.Keya-mari walks outside, with everyone giving her room to walk by. Derek looks into Keya-mari's eyes, now glowing in a pitch dark magenta.Everyone else continue their activities, while she walks away from school.Derek: Where the hell is she going? Did they excuse her or something?
Redgrave: I don't even care. As long as I do-
* Keya-mari creates a shock wave, catapulting Redgrave towards the school wall
Redgrave falls and faints.Everyone else stays shut until she is undetectable, while Samantha helps Redgrave down from the wall.
Far out in the plains, however, Senio seems to ready and set to go out in this chaotic world, just as Karoku, Senichi, and Giino did, and so will Keya-mari. He grabs his items and sets course towards the same path as the others, only, the path he's choosing.....Senio (determined): (Alright world, here I come!)
* Senio dashes with his cards following him, glowing like a thousand fire flies
Senio is powerful and ready, but so is Keya-mari, who also runs from a great distance.Senio/Keya-mari: (At last! Freedom! THE WORLD IS FINALLY OURS TO EXPLORE! LEAD ME TO MY DESTINATION!)
Shikon (from an unknown location): Hmmm, more of them, in a group? Hmph, it seems I going to have quite the salad in my stomach. Quite the variety as well, of course, if the sides meet side-by-side. Wouldn't you agree?
Shikki: I suppose so. That girl is a pain. If she were there, I don't know what I would have done.
Shikon: You would have killed her anyway. Karoku would have been an obstacle in her path. She's too weak-minded to focus on anything besides him.
Shikki: When will we encounter them again anyway?
Shikon: Well, you have the freedom to approach them whenever needed. Of course, you know how to play mind games any day. If you appear at times not expected, they won't be able to forecast your comeuppance. You should only pay a visit where the situation has no explanation behind. Make your visits as random as possible, and make them wise ones as well.
Shikki (nodding): Hehehe, yeah.....
The darkness flows away slowly, and the two titans disappear from sight yet again.Page 7:
Day light brights immensely with the presence of Senio, who now is a glowing missile rocketing through the center of the forest. Running through the salt marsh, he sees giant puddles of water all over.
He takes a few steps back into the woods and vanishes from site.* Senio goes into his pre-Guardian battle form and flies across the salt marsh
As he flies, the water around the area slowly vaporizes as the cards emit a rather fatal glow, shielding him from whatever may attack him. Cautious, he moves a level up more in mid-air.Senio (optimistically): Alright! Now this is what I'm talking about! HIYA!
Keya-mari feels the radiance from the forest, and decides to follow the entity that surfs throughout the landscape of the forest and salt marsh. Arriving at it, she feels Senio's precense, but is unable to tell from who is coming from.Keya-mari: Could this be? No, Sumire's brother is just a little kid. He can't have this much power..... can he?
* Keya-mari merges with a puddle of water and begins atom-hopping all over the marsh at blinding speed
After a short hour, Senio comes across Ri-Kaigun, right where Karoku, Kevin, Tim, and the others have stepped foot on. Exploring this desolate wasteland of a town, he comes across a library. However, Senio doesn't seem to impressed...Senio (disappointingly): Aww man, books? This feels like Ryokou already...
He walks into the ravaged book store, and looks around with what appears to be nothing but cremated and burned books. Curious of the damage taken place, he can only assume that it's one person that could have created such calamity.Senio: Ka-
Keya-mari (finally catching up to him): Hello, Senio. What brings you this far?
Senio (sarcastically): Of course, only you could cause this.
Keya-mari: You know why I followed you. Are you a part of Cerreta's rescue team?
Senio: Don't be such a hypocrite. You're the one to talk. When the hell did you begin stalking me?
Keya-mari: Since you left your trail of sun-light. Listen to me Senio, you are 6 years younger than me. I won't hesitate in beating you if you refuse to leave this in my hands.
Senio: Hey, can't a kid travel around the world in peace? I mean rea-
Keya-mari: Don't give me that excuse. I don't want to put up with another brat like you.
Senio: Oh? A brat? Okay then, let me show you what this "brat" can do. THIS IS FOR TREATING MY SISTER LIKE SHIT!
* Senio makes two of his cards spin wildly like fans
Keya-mari (laughing): HAHAHAHAHA, and what's that supposed to be? Some trick you lear-
* Senio sucks in the entire library and the other buildings around, as well as the landscape, destroying almost he rest of the town
Senio: SOLAR HURRICANE!!!
Keya-mari: Gihhhh! (That stupid kid is going to ruin everything!)
Senio: If you're thinking of getting away with everything you've done, think again! I'm not letting Karoku become the next victim and the last. I promise to protect my friends, and you're nothing but a Satanic, careless, cold, and, and.... WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE!!!
* Senio lunges at her with his fist clutched, pulling her with his cards at the same time
* Keya-mari merges with his jacket and sets herself on fire
Keya-mari (from his back): Shhh, this will only take a second.
Senio (bleeding internally): GAAAHHH! GET OFF ME!
* Keya-mari choking him from behind with her flaming hands
Slowly, Senio burns from the venomous touch of her dreaded grasp. The floor cinders greatly, and the Conscerra Falls explodes, coating the whole entire land in water. In the process, the wave of energy burns half the entire forest range around the salt marsh, and vaporizes any water nearby (within the aftermath of the explosion). The landscape is hit like an atom bomb.* Senio bursts into rage and counters the dark fire with the core of his heart
Keya-mari is knocked in mid-air a great 300 feet, destroying even more of the land around them, causing another great crater.Keya-mari (bleeding): GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! Gih...
Both look at each other, eye-to-eye, bleeding from the immense collisions between their forces of light and darkness.Senio (smirking): I...I won't let a goth get the best of me, Senio, the prized clan-blood of the Senians.
Page 8:
Gravity guides her down to the surface floor. Blood drips from the side of her lips, burning in mid-air from the heat emitted by them two. Even the entire area feels like ashes after a volcano. Keya-mari follows gravity and lets it guide her into what appears to be...Keya-mari (yelling): DON'T BE SUCH A FUCKING STEREOTYPE! JUST BECAUSE I WEAR LOLITA DRESSES DOESN'T MEAN I--
* Keya-mari crosses her arms and maximizes the power of the sun rays with her own
Keya-mari (landing at ground level): --DON'T HAVE A SOUL!!!
Senio (sinking into the ground, blinded): Grrrr, THAT WAS A DIRTY MOVE!
The magnified beam of light melts the ground floor, making it a giant lake of quick sand extending many miles. Slowly more so, the ground becomes a puddle of lava, and then, a fault-line. Trees at a distance burn into cinders, starting a forest fire.
Senio absorbs the light from the fire and prevents any further geological damage. As for Keya-mari...Keya-mari (walking towards Senio): I hate stubborn kids. I hate kids that don't listen. I'm an adult. You should be listening to adults like us. You have to learn how to grow up, child.
* Keya-mari kicks Senio in the chest
Senio (coughing out blood): *COUGH!!!* GIH! So you are.... Doesn't this make you a child abuser then? Don't be such a hypocrite. First, you remark my independent traveling as an excuse. Now you go on about claiming to be of higher authority, when all you are doing is abusing... child abusing.....
She stands there, silenced by the young Senian who is no older than Giino, the King of Fools. She takes out what appears to be twin sai. However, at the end of the sai, appear larger, crescent-shaped blades. She holds the large weapons and shows them to Senio.Keya-mari: This here is what I like to call
Shingetsu-Enkou. This is what I need to make you a part of this earth; a weapon capable of merging molecules with another object. It's like fusion, only worse. This world will become Siamese with your soul, and I'll take forge in the rest of my quest while you rot here with the rest of this world.
Senio, with his head and right hand being the only parts struggling for escape, burns with this liquid earth.Keya-mari: Farewell, tragic child of the Senian Clan.
She places the Shingetsu-Enkou together from the tip of the sai, and begins channeling a flow of smaller atoms. They come from miles, merging and becoming one with any other object. Some animals separate and transfuse with the ground, with rather gory results. The land becomes foul and grotesque, killing anything nearby. They come even from the air. A giant sphere of radioactive energy coats the land, affecting anything alive and killing it. The atoms close in underground, and Senio is about to taste the final seconds in his life.... dirt...Somewhere in the distance, west of what was Ri-Kaigun:
Karoku and Kevin walk through a moist path in a forest, leading to the border of Japan.
Karoku, looking back with what was once a portion of the forest, looks in awe. Several parts are left severely toiled with, and not a hint of life is detectable. A desert can only be seen.Kevin (looking at Karoku, not noticing the chaos): Hey Karoku, something wrong?
Karoku (having a headache): No, it's nothing... Let's get the hell out of here...
Karoku runs without looking back, making sure he does not miss a second of what may be following, or so it seems...Kevin (following him): HEY, WAIT FOR ME!!!
During this very hour, Karoku is left traumatized, and Senio is left for dead. Both suffer from their pre-determined fate, with one fortunate to be of no part. The cards remain afloat...
From underground in the battle field, the prized Senian cards float in mid-air in a circular motion.Keya-mari (tossing one of the cards away): Tssh! Stupid toys!
However...* The Senian Cards react violently and duplicate into several cards
They swarm all over her, ripping her dress and cutting her skin at a violent pace until she is left naked to the point that her skin is peeled, down to her organs, with much great intent...Senio (leaping from the ground with a shallow look on his face): I'm not going to die in the hands to some low-life like you...
* Senio lands several punches on her, adding to the madness inflicted by his own cards
Keya-mari falls down with her clothing entirely torn into shreds. Scars cover her entirely, and her hair pins break apart, letting her hair flow.
She appears of something beautiful and pitiful at the same time. Her body is something between gorgeous and grotesque. The result of the shredding leaves her a mix between beauty and madness. Her appearance screams with much pain and agony, that one cannot look without having some sympathy towards the young mature-looking woman.Senio (taking a breather): It's over.... You left me no other choice....
Senio walks away. However, he collapses from the radiation in the air and falls to the ground, sinking yet again.
Keya-mari also faints from the brutality. All that censors her is her long-hair, and the remains of her shredded clothing.
However....Page 9:
Just as the scars burn with the white-hot intensity of the daylight's rays, the wounds heal with no time to spare. The blood in her boils, as well as her chi. She regenerates by vibrating her atoms back in place. In fact....Keya-mari (merging her clothing back together): *Pant, pant, pant* That, *pant* was.... *pant, pant, pant* close...
* Keya-mari regenerates her heart and lungs
Through the energy borrowed from the sun and the power of the Ultra-Violet rays, Keya-mari is whole again, as if never injured, and regains all the strength she has and more.
She grasps the rays and holds a piece of light in her hand. She walks towards Senio's cold body.Keya-mari (smirking): When you're a hybrid among elements, your prowess is one to fear. Now if you excuse me, I have a rebel hunt.
Keya-mari notices a page with unusual hieroglyphics on the floor. Unharmed and undamaged, she picks it up.Keya-mari (shocked to see it untouched): What the hell? Did this just fall out of the sky or something?
Trying to read the language, she left puzzled by the foreign symbols.Keya-mari: This doesn't look anything like a Senian's writing. Pfft, it's probably the wind that blew it here.
She tosses it at Senio's unconscious body. Making her away towards the Western shore of Japan, she abandons the boy with the wrinkled sheet.
Daylight is broad, but the shadows are broader. The contrast brightens, with a mix of light and dark. Nothing near range is alive. All is a dying cesspool of waste and chaos. Despite leaving a mark of ceaseless destruction, the very parchment left on top of the child comes alive.
The mysterious parchment begins folding itself into a paper airplane. And then, it changes shape, into something rather sharper and more advanced... It takes on an orange glow....Keya-mari (unaware of the parchment): And the best part is, all my supplies are left untouched.
* Keya-mari splits the molecular structure in her stomach and removes a small bag under a bed of flesh
However, this moment of triumph fades away...* Chaos Page 9 darts forward to stab her in the back of her neck
Keya-mari (sensing it's presence through sound): Gih! What the- ?
She manages to dodge it, although, the sheet looks back at her and dives into a portal underground. The familiar orange glow, the signature written next the page number; one of Tim's pages are missing.....
Following it, she fails to cling to it and the portal disappears.
Looking back at Senio, she walks towards him and kneels down. Strangely enough, she gives him a herb out of her hand-bag in order to heal quicker.Keya-mari (talking to herself): If I had known that
thing was alive, I'd burn it. No one steals my glory. (Getting up) Shit, I waste too much time! It's about time I get the hell out of here!
As she runs towards the shore without further interuption, she follows danger without knowing.
The silent force of the Chaos sheet crawls through the midst of this shallow world, and makes it's way to shore. However, it comes across a familiar face, and a group of rather large men.A shady stranger, tired with a set of shots on a table, mutters for another glass. The voice speaks from a small bar out in shore. The larger men around the place, and a set of rather mature-looking women, cling and clang with their bottles of rum.Tim (the stranger): I'll have another. *Slirp* Damn, that kid is promising. What I would do to turn him into a spell, what to d- Oh, there you are. I was wondering where you went.
A young man sitting next to him turns over with a rather uninviting expression. The assassin-like pirate, purple in wear, and fingers crossed under his chin, looks in surprise to find Tim at this very bar.Masamune (the second stranger): What the hell are you doing here? You look wasted, and I'm not talking about-
However, Tim stares not at the young stranger, but at what appears to be the very same sheet that tried to make off with Keya-mari. Tim opens his book, and the sheet sows itself back into pages 8 and 10.Masamune (getting impatient): Hey, don't give me that look and ignore me like that!
Tim (now noticing Masamune's presence): Hmph! Hehe, I wasn't talking to you before, you do understand that, right? By now, you should be aware of the nature of my ways. You sound like you know me already though, I guess I was wrong. Speaking of which, I see a rather shady-looking girl out in the midst of post-apocalyptic Ri-Kaigun. The ghoul seems to be heading this directio- Oh! And a kid lies dead on the ground? No... he's alive... I tackled with a lad that boasted unique powers not too long ago. Hmm, it seems where I go, Chaos follows, hehehe. After all, they don't call me "The Bringer of Mayhem" for nothing. Of course, you'd know. You Pirates like to explore ocean as much as you do land, I do assume, correct?
Masamune (confused): I have no idea what you're talking about, but whatever it is, it's total crap.
Tim: You want to know what
isn't crap to you portly misshapen men? Well, not all, but to all that fear the Kraken should be very afraid.
Everyone in the bar looks at Tim and Masamune.Tim: I can summon him whenever pleased, you do know that *chuckle.*
Causing a panic, everyone in the bar starts tossing tables around.Masamune (standing up): I had enough of this! You can't summon what's already there!
Tim: Hey, I can summon War-Goat, I can summon Eris, you know, Goddess of Chaos? I can summon the great Cthulhu. I can bring and harbor every demonic thing in this world, even the Kraken. In fact, I can conjure it's rival, the Chinese Dragon.
Furniture breaks everywhere, and with every hit, Masamune and Tim stand with each mass of wood breaking upon contact.Masamune: You sure like to tease us like we're something rather stupid...
Tim: Ever since the invasion, things have gotten rather nasty outside Luigio. Soon, the whole world became apart of what was thought as fiction. You fear this creature and more because it has become a reality. The Kraken is no regular squid, dear no. It can be as dangerous as a Death God. It is one of the most dangerous creatures on Earth, with more to come. I other words, it's
normal to be just a little scared, every once in a while.... hehehe...
Masamune: I'm getting out of here.
Tim: I think I should get going as well.
Tim falls into a portal underground with his book with a rather eerie expression. Everyone else is in mass panic, and Masamune packs his loot to make his exit.
Before he can leave, one of the Pirates in this mass panic stop him.Pirate: HEY! Wait just a second.... You don't think you're going to leave without sharing some of that gold eh? I had some awhile ago, I don't suppose you can
lend me some, can ya?
Masamune: Not happening.
Pirate: WHY YO-
* Masamune elbows him in the stomach and makes him cough his heart out
He breaks out of the hut, to see the light cover him entirely, with only two dark figures.....Noticing one with an eye-patch, and the other with a sod hat, he gives them a "hmph." He looks eye-to-eye with the wolf-like stranger. He looks into Senichi's eye, and makes his escape...Masamune: (You're no Pirate. You're a ninja.... Figures...)
The same cycle is taken for a turn yet again, and the events rewind. Senichi and Giino continue where they had left off earlier before the events of the ship wreckage.Of course, Masamune had mistaken Senichi and Giino for Ninjas, when in reality, these Ryokan warriors are Samurais. One is a Jester, while the other is a dweller of the Underworld.Curious, Senichi and Giino approach a Pirate, who throws his bandanna on the ground.Page 10:
With this all said, time once again repeats itself without further ado. The origins of Kitoku is truly unknown, and Tim's claim that he created the creature is a bluff no-less. At least, we find ourselves wondering.... what kind of man can create something more powerful than himself and have dominance over it? No, what being can breathe life into something much more destructive, and have command over it? Why, why does it seek someone else? With all these events taken forge, it is hereby said that nothing can be taken into account without further investigation.
The mass hysteria circling and orbiting this Earth, the lonesome marble no-more, seeks to trace itself and it's own reasons of happenings and occurrences; the origins of our artifacts and where things begin and end. Now, the events take themselves back into the present time- the current events of today, in 2100.....Karoku (exhausted from flying): *Pant, pant, pant* I'm surprised I can carry you all at once.
Giino, flickering fire with the speed of his fingers, accidentally burns one of his scrolls, and bursts into tears. Senichi, on the other hand, inhales water through his sword and cools off before swallowing the ocean water. Kevin shares in the activity, refreshing from the water as well.Karoku (shaking his head): GRRRR, YOU KNOW I HATE COLD WATER!
Senichi (combing his hair back into a pony tail): You need to cool off, Karoku. We're practically 10 feet above surface. A little water won't hurt.
Karoku: Pfft....
Kevin: I'm pretty sure that hot-head of yours will explode before you chatter.
Karoku, feeling an urge to dive into the water, lowers his wings to make less room.Giino (still crying): *Sniff* Wait... KAROKU, DON'T!
Karoku (ignoring Giino): Going down!
* Karoku dives into the ocean, skidding on the water, spanning his wings
Everyone except Karoku: WE'RE SORRY-
Karoku, appearing out of no where, grabs all of them by the back of their cloth with his own two hands.Karoku: Gih... Going up!
Kevin (pondering): Hmmm, impressive. We thought you were down there. How did you-
Karoku: I slipped through my scaled armor and came out from behind. Same way some missiles delay before launching forward. You know, moving back and everything.
Senichi: Smart move. I'm assuming no water hit you in the process?
Karoku: No, not at all. In fact...
Senichi, Giino, and Kevin hear a noise behind them and see the skin I molted from a few seconds ago. Being powered by the sun's intense gamma rays, I'm sort of solar-powered. When something is left unproperly handled or tampered with....BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!They go ka-bang!
All of them look with their faces widen from the explosion.Senichi (too shocked to express): I guess you learn something new everyday.
Kevin nods.Karoku: Heh, that was pretty fun. I sometimes wonder how I'm human in the first place. Mind sharing some wisdom, man-o-vampire, bite-of-a-thousand-laughs, and dreams-of-a-wet-foundation?
The others look at me as if psychotic. Kevin wonders himself, if I'm some sort of atomosophiliac, or even a pyromaniac. I do find sexual desire in blowing things up. Of course, I could never find myself in bed with a woman, just because I'm different, though I can say it would be a miracle if so. How else, would one find such pleasure in things? Maybe I am a pyromaniac after all.Karoku: No one can answer? Not even the great Senichi of the Underworld and Kevin of the Order's most trusted ally, in league with America and it's government and politics? Wow, I'm shocked that non of you can solve this.
Giino (who stopped sobbing a while ago): How about me? I'M JUST AS IMPORTANT YOU KNOW! Except George.... He matters.... more than me....
Hearing one of Giino's ridiculous short-phrases, we all head-slap...Karoku (letting Giino go by mistake): OH SHIT!
* Karoku dives over and under and catches Giino over him
At the same time....Karoku (looking down at a peculiar reflection): Hmmm, that was close.
Kevin and Senichi: Something wrong?
Kevin and Senichi look at a large reflection of what appears to be a landmass. We all look up to see a floating island of some sort. Curious enough, I set to explore it myself in my own mind, wondering if these guys care or not.
Giino, for once, shows a sense of caution and refuses the action to take place. I, of course, ignore him.Giino (worried): K-Karoku, I don't think we should, get into places we're not-
Kevin (worried): -Going to get out of if what waits inside is as bad as-
Senichi (worried): -Kitoku...
Karoku: Come on guys, it's the four of us against a crummy old death god. If I can take on Tim, then I'm sure I'm ready for this jerk again. I don't care about his warnings. I won't heed! I'm my own person, and I'll remain that way.
Rather ignorant at the moment, I finally land on the "floating island" only to discover that it's an abandoned base instead. Quiet and empty, we set foot.We all look in awe of the great size of this city-sized base. The technology is far too advanced to be human, and the rarity of this advancement from a human varies due to the laziness of this world. Even Senichi wouldn't have the patience to, after all, "we're immortal, so why bother?"Karoku: I remember when Kormin separated from us, and how me and these guys were all thrown all over the salt-marsh outside Ryokou. I guess they were right about sticking together. Stay close gu-
I look behind me and around to see that the others have dissappeared. I also find a pad underneath me, and a few others.Karoku (wondering): Hmmm, some kind of teleportation device? Looks different from where I saw it. Maybe if I-
A loud, creaking noise creeps all over the large, acoustic area. The source is unknown, but I wait no longer to find out. Keeping steady, I move onto the nearest shelter of this desolate, abandoned base.Karoku (running away from the noise): (Could it be a Drocon base?)
No.....Page 11:
Upon running into the depths of the floating island, I find myself in a circle with a rather strong acoustic in the background. Time and space appear as if frozen, and the gravity itself seems to have shifted. I can feel my bones shake with every waking second. The floor is riddled with technology unlike ever seen before. This has to be a Drocon base!
And with much acclaim that I stand in foreign territory, I explore the outskirts of yet again, another unusual base of operations, much like the Tim incident.Karoku (feeling cold): Brrrrr, who turned on the AC? Hmmm?
I look around me, feeling something that's not there. What could it be that's haunting the air in these god damn floors?Karoku: Ehhhh, hmmm.
Inside a small building, possibly a research facility, I lose myself in a room full of what appears to be reflective walls and ceilings. The door behind is wide open, and can turn back now.Karoku (breathing deeply): No... Something is after me. I better not get hasty, or els-
SKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKREEEEEEEEEEEEEA sharp noise is heard somewhere in the facility. Taking caution, I call my sword out to fend off what's waiting for me. I follow the noise in hopes of killing whatever is occupying the place. I finally run in and.....Karoku (discovering a body kept in a hibernation chamber): Woah.... What the hell did they do to you (looks at the frozen body)?
Next to the chamber, I find an assortment of different buttons, one that can release this being.Karoku: (I don't think I should take any chances. After all, it could be a trap.) Grrrrr....
Knowing my next move can be my very last, I leave the chamber alone. Knowing this, I may abandon something harmless. After all, it does look human.SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Karoku (turning around): *GASP!* (What the hell was that?)
This time, it was louder than ever, and pained my ears so much, I can feel them fall off.Karoku (with rage): ALRIGHT YOU COWARD! SHOW YOURSELF! SHOW YOURSELF AND FACE ME! YOUR MIND GAMES WON'T WORK ON ME!
From behind, the presence of a shadow lurks in the depths of the chamber, or so it would appear. It crawls from the dark, waiting to strike. I know it's in here. Something wants me dead, and I'll be here to stop it, before it gets to me first.
I hope the others are fine. They're going to need it, assuming they all separated as well.
Nearly a minute passes, with sound fading into oblivion. I'm alone, all alone.Karoku (bitten by the leg): GAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! (Looking down) WHAT THE HELL?
Whatever it was, it took it's first bite, literally. The creature is unlike anything I've ever seen. I can't even recognize it by face. The appearance and anatomy is not of this Earth at all. In fact, it looks alien. This foul creature's head resembles the skull of a human's, only larger and extended towards the back. The eyes, five on each side, are where the chin should be (with sockets on the bottom), and large horns grow from where the eyes should and would have grown. It lacks a nose, but it has a hole. The teeth stretch out like the jaws of an Angler Fish. On the inside of it's mouth is a smaller version of it, only its head can be seen poking out just slightly. The abdomen and arms look rather skinny, but the bottom is much more burly and muscular. In fact, its tail grows from a thick-to-thin pattern. The claws on it's hands and feet face towards him instead of stretching out, curved and bended. It is black, with red linings. Of course, the rest is too dark to identify, since its so dar-* The Drocon Creature bobs its head and tosses Karoku at a wall
* Karoku gets hit
Karoku (bleeding from his leg): Grrrr, so stupid! I can't believe I let my guard down!
* The Drocon Creature leaps from the air and opens its mouth for an afternoon snack
Karoku (getting up from the wall): Oh, no you won't!
* Karoku calls his sword and leaps forward as well
The monster and I make contact. It lands with its full body turned at me. I land on my feet with my sword in the air. Knowing where I cut it down, I put it away in my hilt, the Earth...
Looking back, the creature doesn't move an inch. In fact, I think I may have missed as well....Karoku: Heh, so... I guess we call this a tie?
The monster screeches again, this time, a blood-curdling screech. It was just too painful to bare, for me at least. The damn thing keeps roaring there, with not a second to hold my sword on either hand.
And then, it hit me!* Karoku calls his sword out and holds the hilt by the mouth
I hope he's the only one here...
Though, before I can cut him down. It stops, and the head comes off. Heh, I guess I did kill it after all, in one move.Karoku (landing): Heh, I guess that was- Gah! The noise! It's still present! But how!?
I guess I was wrong about one thing, but after taking another look at the interior of the chamber, it was full of reflective walls. I assume the sound is bouncing over and over.
Though, now is my chance to let the prisoner out of his cage.Karoku (walking towards the captive): *Breath* Well, here it goes...
* Karoku pulls a lever down
The chamber starts melting, but the alarms start sounding. The only problem, is....Karoku (annoyed): WHY CAN'T I SEE THE ALARMS?!
I can hear them, but I can't see them. But that's it. Only the alarms sound. After awhile, they stop......(The sound within the corridors remain unchanged, and the screech of the dead creature fades with it)
Karoku (holding his sword to his chest): Damn, if another thing like that gets me, I'm done for. Wait, what am I even saying?
I don't understand... Why am I afraid at the moment? What's this feeling I'm getting here and there? First I'm a hero, now I'm a coward... What's happening to me?
The prisoner finally comes out of his chamber. The prisoner is covered by several tubes each one connected to a specific pressure point in his body. He almost reaches my height, and appears young. He resembles an archer, with a long and rather strange bow. He lacks arrows, but of course, the ones who captured him would have taken it. But what about the bow? Why didn't they take it?
He also wears a strange attire. Red clothing with golden embroidery. Something Chinese, at least, bears some resemblance. In fact, he's also yellow-skinned , and wears a pony-tail. He also has a fauld with golden patterns.Prisoner (waking up): Uhh? Hmmm..... (notices Karoku) Stranger, who you are? Unfamiliar, don't remember. Prediction... not you... in my... prediction, at all. Was I told- Sorry, hehe, my English no good.
Karoku: Karoku Hasu, assuming you asked my name. Hmm, I take it you don't speak English very well, do you? And no, whoever told you this has a lot of balls. Prediction is a whole bunch of crap. What good is it if you don't have control over it? Worse yet, knowing your future, can screw you up, because either way, you'll fall right into it based on your wisdom of it. Of course, a prediction could have been made before hand, predicting that the prediction after ward would be your gravest mistake.
The prisoner looks at me, with no understanding of what I just said. I can't blame him. I'm speaking full English.Prisoner: Uhhh, Tanglaw is my name, and I'm a long-lost Prince from the Philippines, years and years ago. That chamber kept me alive until today to tackle with the invasion. I assumed it began already? By the way.... I have no idea what you just said, HAHA.
Karoku (impatient): *Sigh* Well, yeah, but I think you're late on that. I can't control what I say. It's naturally in me. I was told of something similar a day ago myself. Now I have to bare with it. I have a destiny too, supposively....
Tanglaw (looking at the dead creature): Wow, you killed that?
Karoku: In one hit.... HEY WAIT A MINUTE! YOU SPOKE ENGLISH! YOU LIAR!!!
Tanglaw: Impressive..... yeah, only because you decapitated it, haha. And yes, amazing what hibernation does to you. I guess I gathered all that wisdom through-
Karoku: -Experimentation?
Tanglaws: Uhh, I think... Wait... you hear that?
Finally, we hear noises from the corridors. Voices are heard. It seems this place isn't desserted afterall.Voice #1: IN HERE! THE INTRUDER IS HIDING IN
THE CHAMBER OF LIGHT! WE HAVE TO STOP HIM BEFORE-
(All zooms in Karoku's face)
Karoku (recognizing the voice): Shit..... no.....
To Be Continued.....

You've been waiting, it's finally here! People, I give you, 2100-NOTES!:
- The events that took forge in the previous chapters, go back to take an insight view of what happened during Karoku's current adventure, in Ryokou instead. This was done to remind the reader of the characters from the earlier chapters, and newer ones yet to be introduced, but fore-mentioned with mention of the school, Union Academy.
- Keya-mari is in fact of Chinese descendant. Despite her appearance she is not a gothic person. She wears it out of natural interest, with no relation to the culture itself.
- Keya-mari proves to be very aggressive and lives up to her name. When she threaten Sumire, she was serious. Cerreta, however, fears her for her personality. Because she is dominant above the student body, she can even manipulate the Principal (which she has done one time before). That's why people not only fear her, but respect her.
- Keya-mari accepts her mission, but her feelings towards her are not entirely expressed. In fact, she's lying of a certain something she was asked.
- Senio felt he should have stayed to gather up some kind of strength before walking out to the world, in order to prepare himself for the first and possibly worst.
- Katrina was born with lung problems, but from the hospital she was born from, lacked any real life support (at least, up to this day). They were able to, however, offer built-in iron lungs, in which case, saved her life. This is a result of her robotic noise.
- Keya-mari behaves like a villain in the Chapter, though despite this, it's unsure what her true motives are (see fact #4)
- When Senio and Keya-mari fight, Senio fights not only for Karoku's sake of freedom, but to follow in the same path without being the first she takes. Unfortunately, he fails, but remains where he is (in which she has no interest and taking back)
- Karoku can molt his scaley skin (another layer made of Dragon scales), and generate power through them like solar panels. Because of this, they act like small bombs gathering UV rays and explode when detached from the body.
- When Karoku and his friends fly over to their next destination, they are amazed to see a Drocon Base near the waters; their hide-outs surround the border of Japan.
- Despite the base being abandoned, most machines and devices are still active, and they all separate in different sectors. Karoku meets up with an ancient Filipino Prince of no mentioned age.
- Tanglaw claims to be kept frozen solid for years, in his prophecy (unmentioned). The true origin of his mission and intent, is also unknown.
- When Karoku slayed the creature, his display of power caused the alarms to sound. The source of detection remains unseen, and the voice Karoku hears in the halls is non other than....
Done!
