Its become quite apparent that certain stages produce more lag then others, and as lag can greatly put a damper on the enjoyability of Brawl matches, it would be nice to have a good idea of which ones are not the wisest to choose.
So, what Brawl stages do you think are good and bad for online play?
I've noticed that Battlefield and Smashville seem to have very little lag, while Battleship Halberd and Distant Planet often have a significant amount of lag. Final Destination also seems to be a bit laggy.

I was getting really bad lag on Final Destination yesterday - I think it's because of all the graphical crap going on in the background.

I would say any stage that has a lot of stuff going on in the background puts a greater strain on your Wii's processors and increases risk of lag.

Stages I've noticed are bad for lag:

* Final Destination
* Port Town Aero Dive
* Lylat Cruise

I'd say the basic rule is - if you know the people you're playing against have a risk of lag, choose a stage with as little background stuff as possible.

I had my worst lag on Pokemon Stadium 2, although that was probably down to the connection at the time. 'Twas quite funny however, after about 5 minutes of extremely slow movement, hearing a perfectly clear "GULPIN" above the now annoyingly repetitive Pokemon Center music.
On a more useful note, Distant Planet is supposed to have the worst lag, and I've had some pretty slow battles on Delfino Plaza.

THAT WAS THE BEST ONLINE MATCH EVER!
And we could see Gulpin on the screen for about 2 minutes before he actually spoke.#

But ye, it is the stages that have fancy backgrounds and big obstacles. Rainbow ride should be fine, shouldn't it?
