That entire time I didn't think it was him. But at the beginning of his scene. I was like, I bet it's him. My friend agreed and we were right! Ah, what a happy day that was

Actually, a lot did, there's even this picture of the ancient minister with an outline of r.o.b. Anyway, I can't find the pic so too bad...

Really? Come to think of it, I do vaguely remember seeing something having to do with that. I didn't pay much attention to it, though.
I wonder, though, how someone could have made the connection before Brawl was released. Was the person making a comparison between the Ancient Minister and the myriad of R.O.B.s? I don't see how someone could have predicted his playability all that way back in 2007 - unless they had inside connections.

Indeed. I began to suspect the outcome early on, but nothing concrete enough to be 100% certain. They really did follow the guideline for a great character revelation - they fed us just enough information to keep us on the edge of understanding, and then blew us away with the end result. Well, maybe not blew us away, but the way everything came together at the pinnacle of hints was superbly crafted.
In all honesty, that was the only way Sakurai would have gotten me to like R.O.B. the way I do. He still isn't my favorite character, but I do look at him a lot differently now! He isn't just some lame, brainless, and mindlessly added character after all!

I kinda like G&W's role as well. If you read some of the trophies...you learn more about his role and how the final boss used him...

I was so blown away when the revealed him.  It was so sad what Ganondorf had done, and I had begun to feel even worse for the ancient minister.  Then when he was revealed, I was just blown away.  It would have been even better if I hadn't know ROB was in the game.

If I didn't know ROB was in the game, I wouldn't have thought that he would even be a playable character when he was revealed.

He probably has the ability (and desire) to make it happen anyway.

lol nice pic, but yeah, rob is a great character, infact he's one of my favs in mario kart for the ds ^.^
