Megaman not in Brawl

Possiblity, this interview was made before the delay. It says brawl is still months from releasing which means its around july or june (im assuming). Could megaman be the reason for the delay?

It's possible that negotiations came a bit late in the game but I don't think it's the reason of the delay. They had to flesh out wifi and co-op mode so it took longer...plus the marketing strategy as well.
