wtf?  DK originated from that Donkey Kong Arcade with Jumpman. King Kong is entirely different. Them monkeys ain't related. Except for kidnapping blondies. |

i thought Dk was sposed to be bluto but nintendo couldnt get the rights and they got donkey because miyamoto thougt it meant stupid but i forget where they get kong though

I voted for Duke Nukem eventhough I know there is no chance for him to make in Brawl. I just have some real good memories about this game with all the strippers, the extremely graphic violence, and the rest of the mature things in this game when I was like 11. In all seriousness though Leon has the best chance along with simon belmont, everybody else has no place in Brawl.

Donkey Kong was originally supposed to be King Kong. (I believe, I haven't been able to get any sources with decent documentation on this fact) Due to copyright laws, his name was changed, as were certain other elements of the game.
He is now a unique character, completely seperate from King Kong in personality, history, and size. So no, he's not King Kong. If it's true that he was originally supposed to be King Kong, I think it's lucky that it got changed, as he likely would not be nearly as big as he is today.

Yeah...if he were King Kong...wouldn't he be massive...but isn't Bowser supposed to be massive...but he's usually downsized...ok...we don't really know.

how many of you ever played jumpman ? i had this game on the commodore when i was little . it was way better than any donkey kong game . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumpmanbtw , the popeye arcade game came out a year later than donkey kong , so i don't see where you got this idea that "they couldn't get the rights" . also , universal studios sued nintendo for stealing their king kong idea , but lost . |
