miyamoto confirmed that there will be a zelda for wii, and hinted at possibly a mario galaxy 2 and a new super mari bros for ds.

Too bad he didn't at the press conference.  That probably means they're a looooooong while off.

Interesting to note though, GTA: Chinatown Wars is announced for the DS and not for the PSP. What could this mean?
Also, Spore Creatures is a new DS Game based on the PC/MAC based game, Spore. Interesting how DS is being chosen over the OTHER handheld console. Also, there needs to be an announcement on that new Zelda game!

Yeah...pretty much...here's to hoping Nintendo has some tricks up their sleeve for the last few days.  We haven't even seen EA Fitness yet. 

There was more hardcore news for the DS than the Wii, which makes me hopeful but still a bit annoyed.  I'm excited for the remake of Chrono Trigger, and the new GTA.  We've known about Spore Creatures forever so it's not exactly a megaton.  Also, I'd rather see something from a different franchise before seeing a new Zelda.  I LOVE Zelda, but I was looking forward to some new stuff this year.

well retro said they are taking a break from prime metroid games for a little bit,so yeah...

unless someone else does the 2-d games?

Nintendo does the 2D Metroids, I think by themselves, no 2nd party
