I must agree James.  Pretty dissapointing stuff.  There was a pretty big lack of great hardcore games, BUT there is the rest of E3.  3rd party games might be great, and I heard Kid Icarus itself might be 3rd party.  I'll give them till the end of the week, but this was a bit of a weak start.  Regardless, motion plus or whatever it's called looks cool.

Btw, coming from a mucisian; most of the instruments on Wii Music looks like randomly waving around the Wii Mote and Nunchuck.

Nothing highly impressive.

I must say that the next Animal Crossing game has caught my eye. The first one was great, but got old fast. Hopefully they've found a way to improve upon that.

Voice Chat will be nice. I wonder if there is an option to use it on games that were already made... Hmmm....

I was looking forward to far more on this E3. New Zelda or Pikmin would've been nice. But I'm content with what they gave.

Wii music doesnt look THAT impressive. but itd definitly be a fun party game with friends.

also motion plus looks really really accurate. i cant wait to see what theyll do next

i cant tell if the Star wars game will suck, or be average. seems like a cool idea but i just dont understand how the motion sensing would work that well with it.

now.... come on Sony. FFVII REMAKE PLEASEESESESESEEEEEEEE

Wii Speak threw me - I thought Nintendo would never incorporate face-to-face talking over its hardware. Especially given how much we swear playing Mario Kart over skype.

Wii music might be interesting... need more details.

wii speak is a good idea, and nintendo finally listned to gamers. yay!

i think it got old because there was no one else to play it with. with this one, we have a whole community right here on SP that we will have friends and stuff to visit.

I am very excited for both the Wii Speak and the upgrade to the Wii Remote.  I am, however, very dissappointed in the ways that these new peripherals have been shown off:  Wii Speak's only game at the moment is more of a niche title rather than a full-blown hardcore must-have game and Wii Sports 2 is exciting but ultimately underwhelming.

I'm not saying I wanted them to rush out another Zelda, Metroid, or Mario game, but news of that Kid Icarus game that's supposedly in development and the identity of Factor 5's Wii project would have been nice (if its not the aforementioned Kid Icarus game.)  I am wondering what Reggie meant in March when he said that there would be a major release for the holiday season that hardcore gamers would want.  I understand there is a big fanbase for Animal Crossing...but that's not what everyone thought when he mentioned the "hardcore" crowd.

The new Shawn White game should be cool for the Balance Board owners, but thinking about it:  are any of these new games going to even require the nunchuck?  I'd like to see something that utilizes the peripherals I have rather than letting me know I have to delay buying new Wii Remotes in favor of an entirely new attachment for the Wii.

I'm really hoping they "pull a Brawl" and show something later this week or behind closed doors.

UPDATE:  I knew last night that Microsoft's conference was dissappointing, was upset coming back from lunch to read Nintendo's...but Sony's isn't looking that much better with the exception of Little Big Planet...not a good E3...

Nintendo is being too casual right now. AC for the Wii looked nice, so did Wiispeak and wii motion plus, Wiimusic will be ok, but not great, surprised by no wii hard drive or kid icarus, but the airport and baseball DS stuff could make the DS as common as cellphones.
