Oh really? Why didn't I think of that! I meant, what techniques are there? I can get the bag up to 100% damage at times, but it doesn't fly far, or the forcefield breaks. |

I don't really use much strategy, I just try to hit Sandbag with as many forward smashes as possible and then, when there's about two seconds left, I get the bat and hit Sandbag with it. I usually get somewhere between 300 and 500 meters when doing this, depending on which character I use.

That's what I'm doing, but usally the forcefield smashes, or the bat hit barely moves the bag.

That's what I'm doing, but usally the forcefield smashes, or the bat hit barely moves the bag.
If the forcefield shatters, you have to resort to attacks that don't move the bag too much, horizontally, like up smashes or certain aereal moves. Oh, and remember that you have to use a forward smash with the bat when sending the sandbag flying, or it will not fly far at all. |

A simple way to do things, throw the bat. It's one of the strongest attacks that you can do to the bag and doesn't shatter the glass much. Also, using the player's strongest attacks work like miracles. Like for Zelda, I use a number of Lightning kicks to get the damage higher. Also, the bag flies further if the bag is hit with the tip of the bat.

If use Ganondorf usually, not that I do Home-run Contest at all anymore. But when I did, I would repeatedly short hop his down air A. If done correctly it should rack up tons of damage on the sand bag and keep it relatively still. Then, when the time comes, I use a reverse Warlock Punch to launch it instead of the home run bat.

Would it be easier to hit the Sandbag (after you upped his damage and have only 2 seconds left) from the left side of the platform or the right ?
Ex:
x x The X's being the position of the sandbag. And character being of course behind it .

Bryan, right side of course. Then you hit the bag using the tip of the charged up home-run bat. If it's on the left, you'd lose a few meters or feet that you would've had had you put him to the right of the platform.
