What the heck is a Footstool Jump?! Well, it’s a cool technique. Basically, you step on your opponent and jump off! That’s it! Jump! Now press the jump button with perfect timing... Boing! And then you jummmmmmmmp!Using your enemy’s spine like a spring to launch you into the air is pretty fun. What? You say it doesn’t have much strategic value? No, no, no. That’s hardly the case. You can use it to perform Meteor Smashes! Incredible!

i dont really like the footstool jump, it kinda makes the characters who were special in having meteor smashes not so special anymore...
i dunno, it just doesnt seem that great to make everyone more similar.

again, let's see how it really works before we judge it.
Even if it does work that way, chances are it's not going to be nearly as good as a metoer smash, as it's going to need a lot more precision and leave you much more vulnerable.

true. very true. i meant to just voice a possible concern. i hope it turns out to be as you say it might if it is the way i said, with a footstool jump being not as good as a traditional meteor smash.

I would much rather just meteor smash then do this haha. Sonic would be good at this one, or fox. Only thing is, im wondering if it stops the enemies move. Can you jump off them when they are doing their recovery move?

Probably not because.... well jumping on their head isn't really an attack is it? (Does it do any damage?) Soo... if you go in to jump off them you are completely vulnerable all the way up until you actually jump off them, at least I'm assuming...

K well then that makes this feature useless haha. Hitting people down with regular meteor smash is hard enough.

Well maybe you could jump off their head if they use their up b and you time it right so you jump off them as they are coming down when they are vulnerable...

I wonder if kirby or any of the other characters can do it on all their jumps and not just the first two. If they can, then i think it will be effective with them. And what about being able to preform a double-jump after a footstool jump?
