The fate of SSB4 and it's elements (Can we predict without question?)

Okay, so we’re all happy about our Nintendo Wii, our DS, and our games.  We’re all proud of obtaining these glorious pieces of entertainment and fun, especially Smash Bros.  For today’s topic, we will evaluate the fate of Smash Bros.’ upcoming sequel, if there ever is one.  As we can denote, the series has come over a few names related to the term of fighting, such as Melee and Brawl.  Of course, we have been evaluating what might come next as a name.  However, that is not needed.  Before this event ever occurs, let’s get the character inclusion and stage investigation out of the way, shall we?  We might as well get a fresh start on ideas to avoid pompous theories and meaningless wishes that will never happen (take Ridley being playable as consideration).  Remember everyone, we all used to make up fantasies of seeing Mega Man and Petey Pirana as playable and only a bare minimum has come into phase.  I myself want to avoid these theories with a system that will point out the fate of each and every element in the game.

For today, I’d like to introduce each and every character from every game, including appropriate assist trophies (in no particular order):

All right, we have the list down, and now for the list that will determine the chances of each character returning in Smash plus those who have the closest possible chance (they can ever get):

-Mario (He’s obviously Nintendo’s mascot and- OH COME ON PEOPLE!  SERIOUSLY!)

-Captain Falcon (If the same thing ever happens again with him being in or not with weak rumors, than know he’s in anyways)

-Ike (Face reality.  If Roy was initially going to join both Ike and Marth, it’s safe to say that no current FE hero will replace another)

-Sonic (surprising yes, but think about it for a minute.  Each 3rd-party character is like it’s own franchise with the term 3rd-party. 
Chances are, at least 2 more will join the fray.  I won’t guarantee second main characters will get a spot)

-Snake (^ Ditto)

-Geno (Square Enix may have said no, but hopefully they’ll reconsider this time)

-Mr. Game &Watch

-Meta Knight

-Dr. Mario (possibility he’ll be an alternate costume for Mario)

-Mewtwo (was never purposly removed due to current popular demand.  Infact, he as going to be in, but time was one cruel mother.  Same thing as Roy)

-ROB (may surprise some of us like when we thought Game & Watch was too useless to return)

-Mega Man (original) (Capcom was willing to give permission to Nintendo, but Nintendo was too busy to be thinking about a character
that was not voted on top of the polls)   

-Lyn (There’s a strong chance she’ll become a PC)

-Isaac (People have waited too long)

-Felix (Just as important as Isaac)

-Ray 01 (Deserves his own spot in PCs)

-Deoxys (He’s perfect for rivaling Mewtwo)

-Bowser Jr. (He’s been in enough Mario games already to have his own appropriate moveset)

-Daisy (a stretch but remember that Daisy has her own style, I mean, it’s not like Peach and her are the same, imo)

-(Any Metroid Hunter)

-Waluigi (He has a 50/50 chance the way I see it.  Sure he may be Wario’s brother, but he wasn’t that important.  He does, however, have a long time chance of having his move-set thought out)

-Midna (Believe me, as much as I want her in as well, I doubt it.  But like Lakitu said in Smash Kingdom Melee, “bring your sword and the TP costume, and then we’ll work things out.”  Perhaps placing Midna with Wolf Link.  It makes sense, because think hard.  TP Link may be replaced by a newer generation Link, thus giving Wolf Link/Midna the spot)

-Jill (she may not have been THAT popular, but think hard.  Remember when Falcon and Ness were introduced in Smash 64?  Then Game & Watch and Ice Climbers were introduced Melee?  Well, maybe she might have a spot... maybe...)

-Little Mac (God knows, maybe he’ll get a spot)

-Ridley (unlikely, but Charizard got in.  I sure wish he can make it)

-Vaati (It would be interesting to see Vaati in the fray, but I think Link, Zelda, Midna, and Ganondorf are enough (including Sheik))                  
-Rival Trainer (That’s it.  That’s all I see making it in.  No Gym Leader, no Elite Four, nothing more.  I am fully aware of the situation and anything above a regular trainer and rival trainer is equivalent to a hopeless “SHADOW AND TAILS!” wish)

-Skull Kid (If he didn’t make it in Melee, nor in Brawl, I don’t see it happening)

-Petey Pirana (Sounds like a goofy choice to me)

-Gardevoir (Sorry Japan, but this sounds too bishoujo/bishounen for a character)

-Young Link (I dunno, but I’d prefer Masks Link)
                        
-Pichu (OMG, really, this was a waste)

^ All characters covered up, and I decided these are just fine.  If anything, bring the Black Knight in or maybe Dark Samus.  Just as long as everyone plus the cut characters, except Pichu, make it in the 4rth game.  I mean, there ARE notable mentions, but lets keep the most memorable ones to our minds for now.  This is to avoid constant wishing, and rather, logically predict what MIGHT happen.

In fact, don't get your hopes up.  It's not like there's a guarantee that SSB4 will ever spawn in years from now, so this is just an evaluation.

UPDATE: And now for the past stages that will return.  Just after I get the past stages out of the way, we’ll see what new stages will appear.  HOWEVER, we cannot conclude them as possible, for eventually, newer games will come into phase thus making us eager to know whether or not “this or that” is there or not.   Funny thing is, is that we’re not sure how many may or may not make it.  Let’s stick with what we have already:

Past Stages (Brawl):
-Battle Ship Halberd (I am very sure people want this stage, and knowing Sakurai, it may happen)

-Smashville (This one is a shoe-in.  Not my favorite, but a definite shoe-in)

-Delphino Plaza (I don’t see this stage going away.  It’s too beautiful for words)

-Frigate Orpheon (Possibility due to it’s uniqueness, but may be cut like Brinstar Depths in Melee)

-Mushroomy Kingdom (Why not?   I thought this one was pretty cool)

-Pictochat (I don’t know why I have the feeling this stage has a mixed review)

-Lylat Cruise (The only Starfox stage to it’s latest features; of course the only new Starfox stage)

-Castle Siege (Seriously, It’s not like FE is going to have just one stage. I’m pretty damn sure this will live on.  Not one of my favorites, but a fun stage still.  Original)

-Distant Planet (Olimar may be a newbie, but he deserves his own stage to return)

-Pirate Ship (This stage was absolutely fun, and is fun.  Pirate ship should return if anything Toon Link stays)

IMO opinion, Lucario needs to be replaced with Mewtwo. I don't like Lucario at all. Little Mac is a classic character like R.O.B., Pit, and The Ice Climbers. Square Enix can go to hell for not letting Geno in Brawl.

I don't totally agree with the probability meter you've made up. There are characters that still don't have that big possibility to be in like Geno and MegaMan. They still might keep Snake and Sonic (hey, their numbers in the icon theory are before Pikmin. Removing them would kind of mess up the icon theory. But still, it's still possible that they do remove them.) Honestly, 3rd parties might not be considered for the next game. It's a possibility but not as big as the other standards.

The Toons (Link, Zelda, Tetra and Ganondorf) are also a bit of a stretch don't you think. By that time, new Zelda games would have been created, making way for better choices.

I find that Daisy, Waluigi and Bowser Jr. making it would make the game too much like a Mario-exclusive spin-off. I mean come on, the basic people for these games are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Wario and Waluigi. Do you really want this big of a cast for the extended Mario series?

Speaking of which...more Pokémon...I mean come on! They have the biggest undivided franchise in Brawl since Wario, Yoshi and DK were split from the Mario symbol. Why should we add more than what I would say 6 characters on screen and 10 characters all-in-all.

As for ATs, I do see a lot more of them to be PCs. I'd love to see Balloon Fighter though...

MORE CHARACTERS! I say they keep the current Brawl roster with the exclusion of maybe 1 or 2 (to give Brawl some exclusive characters); then just add more from there. And seeing that controller ports dont matter over wifi play, wouldnt it be cool if the number of Chaarcters that could play at the same time was 5 or even 6? That would open brand new doors for match possibility. Imagine 3 vs. 3; 4 Vs. 2; 1 Vs. 5!?! Haha. Much more possibilities and much more fun. IMO

DJ, there is no right or wrong in this.  That's why the topic is set.  It's all to think of the chances these people have. Of course, I did mention there is no full guarantee 2 extra 3rd-parties will make it (or if any), so it's all to look at and say "wait, no" or "hmmm, of course."

True, I honestly agree with your Mario spin-off theory.  Yes, all true, that is right, but the list which mentioned doesn't mean ALL will jump in, I'm predicting maybe 2 or 3?  Woah, scratch that, forget it.  Just remember that I don't intentionally look forward to so many mario characters.  Pokemon needs more representation, but I did mention that more trainers are hopeless and too good to be true.

Im 100% sure all original 12 characters are going to return. It's a crime to cut one of them. I think that alot Mario Galaxy things are going to be in SSB4. And I think the cut characters are staying cut. By the time SSB4 comes, a new generation of pokemon would have also. Lucario, like he replaced Mewtwo, will be replaced by a new pokemon that got it's fame by being in the Pokeomn movie.

1) 5th Gen Pokemon (maybe with both Mewtwo and Lucario returning)
2) Megaman (plus Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice AT - CAPCOM)
3) Krystal (more furry ladies plz)
4) Miles (Tails) Prower (this is only fair - Mario has Luigi)

Maybe upgraded from ATs:
1) Gray Fox (so cool - imagine taking on both Gray Fox and Snake in Classic)
2) Issac (never played Golden Sun but he has lots of fans)
3) Little Mac (could be interesting - I'd like to see how a boxer could fare in SSB4)
4) Waluigi (don't particularly want to see this happen but it could)

I'd like to see but never gonna happen:
1) Ridley (I can see ways to make him work as a PC - but Sakurai gave up)
2) Captain N (Chad's idea for his FS - "PAUSE" caught my imagination)
3) Sparkster (he is an opossum, he is a rocket knight, he is cool)
4) Duke Nukem (just for a laugh - "SHAKE IT BABY!")

Well after 2-8 years I think alot more games will be made..thus giving More PC's a shot..there is no way to make a very good guess at this point..

(I got the 2-8 years from the differences it took to make each game..from 64 to melee was 2 years and from melee to brawl was 7..well thats what wikipedia said)

My guess is that we will have one or two characters that we dont even know about yet
