...with the Metroid as an AT and a possibility of a new way to wavedash. Look at 00:43-48 for what appears to be a wavedash done by Yoshi. And after watching this one, I'm falling in love with the smoothness of the game all over again. I can't believe how nice the animation and how quick it is now. It's awesome! And the Peach Bomber isn't bomb-ish anymore. I like the parasol! GO PEACH!!!

hold on. not to sound like a smash idiot but what is a wave dash. i know someone told me before but i forget and i cant find were someone told me.

wave dashing is when you make a tiny jump and then immediately to an air dodge down and to the side.  When you hit the ground, you will end up sliding to the side.  For most characters, when done properly, this is a very fast manuever, letting you get past their normally slow speed, do non charging attacks while moving, and turn around very quickly.

As stated in other places, the move is powerful, but won't win you the game on it's own.  It's just another weapon.

The use of wavedashing heavily relies on your ability to air dodge in a direction.  I did not attent E for Everyone, but from what I've been told directional air dodging and wave dashing have been removed.

this is interesting I suppose!  At least Samus is getting more attention!  New level without lava, Metroid as AT, etc!

yeah...kinda feel bad that Samus is the only character representing metroid as a pc...ridley for brawl!

people were talking about heavyweight fighters being made faster in this game in order to give them a greater advantage . bowser doesn't look any faster to me . neither does donkey kong . did someone crank up their speed some weak amount like 3% ?

also , what's up with that giant lava wave in norfair ? it coveres everyone and no one seems to get hurt .

I didn't see anything that looked remotely like wavedashing at the time you mentioend.  I saw him do a dodge roll, but that's it.

The lava did hurt them, it just didn't hit them much.  Unless you meant the two guys who stood in the lava wave while they were invincible.

Also, White shelled Bowser looks awesome!

Hmm...that's where you're wrong. His side dodge uses an egg remember...but this is pretty much a wavedash...well afaik. OK...but I thought the lava would do a lot of damage. And yes...the white shelled bowser is awesome!

Okay, I think I see what people are talking about, but that doesn't look like a wave dash to me.  Just a small hop.  Did seem a bit fast though.
