I would like to start this update by saying what Coro Coro means here in the Philippines. Well, it is actually Kuro-kuro or sometimes we call it Haka-haka...making it actually fit as a title for the magazine. Kuro-kuro means gossip and yeah here's the biggest gossip everyone has been waiting for, the big Starting Roster reveal.
So wanna know what they revealed:
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
That's right people, they only showed things ALREADY found in DOJO. Big bummer!

Another shot in the arm to many Smashers is that the much hyped CoroCoro Comics reveal was an absolute bust, all that was shown were the characters revealed so far are all the ones in the DoJo, all the information given about them was from the DOJO, and all the screnshots they revealed were from the DOJO! Too say that many fans are dissapointed is an understatement.
CoroCoro has hooked people in by telling them that in they're NEXT issue they will reveal 30 cards for every individual characters in Brawl, and that Pokemon Trainer counts as 3 (one for each Pokemon) and Samus counts as 2. So now many fans are NOW speculating how large the roster will be, people are arguing that it's only going to be 30, some say 35, some say possibly as high as 45. Considering the fact that SOME Assist Trophy were at least developed first too see if they could playable or not, and the vast majority of ATs. It is not impossible to argue that they could have a vast number retaining a large starter roster and a large secret roster.
There have been 23 total individual character updates in all.
There will be 30 cards.
Pokemon Trainer counts as 3.
Samus counts as 2.
And including everyone else. We bring it too 4.
Now if Sheik was included, Zelda would constitute as a 2 card holder. Thus bringing it too 3.
So now there will be 3 left they will show, considering that EVERY TIME a magazine says they have "new information" on Brawl it is always a DOJO update from like a week ago. So if this is the case, who could be these "3" charaters they would reveal. Obviously CoroCoro will show us who they are, knowing Sakurai he'll show us first.
The possibilities are of course returning characters and new characters, my guess is it will be these three, (including Sheik) Megaman, Captain Falcon, and Ridley; Krystal; or Geno. You would have two returning characters already a part of the Melee starting roster, and you would get 2 new characters. One last third party character makes sense and if it was the case it would be Megaman to buzz some more hype, and than one new Nintendo-owned (Yes Geno is Nintendo's) character, which would most likely be one of the three.
So people once again can start speculating and quit moping, and if you feel sad about today just remeber...

26 Starters confirmed?
What a devastating blow to the Brawl community. This month's CoroCoro issue only contains previously known info that has been announced on the Dojo. Even the screenshots are screenshots taken directly from the Dojo. The Brawl feature is a 16-page boolet featured within the magazine, containing Dojo information until about a week ago. The booklet does NOT confirm any starters directly, however we have a theory on the total number below. A preview for next month's issue's cards is shown. Pokemon Trainer gets 3 cards, for each of his Pokemon.
This leads me to believe that the original 30 character cards to be shown are going to be less with PT counting as 3 himself. No doubt Samus and her Zero Suit form will count as 2 cards. Shiek, being semi-confirmed would have her own card also, dropping it down to 26 individual roster spots. So are we getting 26 starters or total characters? 22 characters are revealed on the Dojo, and including the obvious Luigi, Falcon, and Ganondorf, that makes 25. It looks like the entire Dojo (except for Sonic and Snake), and a couple more characters to be added, will be the entire starting roster. Of course this is all speculation now that CoroCoro confirmed a card for each Pokemon of Pokemon Trainer. Here are some screens of the magazine:

Looks like all we can do to find out a new character is turn to Sakurai himself and the Dojo. I admit, I was really expecting some good news out of this.

So after the December 3 disappointment, we get another one. Man, I guess we can't get what we want. And yes, the cards are going to be revealed January. Not saying much as by that time, Brawl would have come out in Japan, if Sarah is right about the early release for Brawl.
The only thing great is that there are 30 roster characters where Samus counts as 2 and Pokémon Trainer counts as 3. (Possibly Zelda/Sheik counts as 2 as well.) So we have 26...that leaves 4 spots like Phoenixdragoon said. So what do you guys think.
