12/14/2007 Assist Trophies: Stafy and Waluigi*

This character, the prince of the heavenly seas, appeared in the Japan-only release "Densetsu no Stafy." He’s shaped like a star, but maybe he’s really a starfish???



I’ll do it! I’m doing it!

...He never says anything like that.



His body shines bright.



He boldly does a spin attack!



But...he’s weak?

He’s rare for an Assist Trophy, as he can be attacked.

Sometimes you may wonder "Stafy, why did you even come here?!" But that’s part of his charm.



Owwwwwww!



The fact that he’s an Assist Trophy means he won’t be appearing as a playable character, but...



Waluigi appears nonetheless!



He dashes at foes...



He stomps on whoever he currently despises!

Characters that suffer his stomping get embedded in the dirt.

Waluigi keeps on stomping, punishing his foe persistently with successive blows. As should be expected from Waluigi.



He finishes with a mighty kick...



Or his tennis racket!

Never forget to finish off those who are helpless to resist. Such a philosophy should really be expected from Waluigi.

he's an assist trophy . i think people were only doubting that he'd be a playable character .

Yeah but the thread said would Waluigi be in Brawl...and many answered no to that poll...it's Brawl in general and not as a PC or an AT or etc. A lot of people doubted period.

DJ, that was awsome!!!  The update is AWSOME!!!!!!  Stafy is interesting but WALUIGI?!?!?!?!?!  Man I wondered when they were gonna post that!  Me and DJ were talking and he checks the update and says that There's 2 AT's and one is Waluigi!   I'm like "no way, liar!"  and I check and I freaked out!!!  DJ and I couldn't stop laughing!!!   I still got giggles!   I'm gonna be up all night!

I can't wait to see Stafy in action!

it really is AWESOME!!! I COULDN'T HELP BUT LAUGH AS WELL! THE TRICK IS, CHECK THE JAP and ENG UK versions FIRST!!! They're the first to be updated usually. And yeah...I was stunned and happy to see Waluigi. It was total bliss. Now I'm geared up to want Brawl again. It's such a hype to know Waluigi is in Brawl!!! WOOHOO!!!

lol good job DJ I was one of doubters of him being a playable character but as an assist trophy I could have seen that, nevertheless good call. Im actually a little down because even though I knew there was no chance for him being a PC I still had hope, oh well

Lol i laughed when i saw him in the update, and i KNEW Waluigi wouldn't be playable but as an AT i thought there was definitley room and look how that turned out. To say the least i wasn't expecting to have his update after the flurry of posts on whether he would be in Brawl or not and in what form. I liked the update.....maybe they really are watching us, quick guys start speculating on other characters quick!

"Waluigi appears nonetheless." So they are saying, yes he wont be a playable character but at least he was able to make an appearance.

I can't beleive we got TWO AT. This easily could have taken up two days. And if Sakurai is reading this right now then PLEASE give us an update on Zelda it's been 172 since Zelda's profile was added and there has been no update on her.(That's 124 zeldaless updates). So please give us a Zelda update. Like on December 18th or something. And the reason for Dec. 18th is becuz that's my b-day and also becuz that was the release date of OoT in Europe and Australia. Dec. 18, 1998. So plz give us an update on Zelda. Like SHEIK!!!

Woah...your birthday was when OoT was released...cool!!! You know what, I do hope that they celebrate 9 years of OoT by having a Sheik update!!! But anyways, I called it I called it! I KNEW WALUIGI WOULD BE IN BRAWL!!! HAHA. And about the possibility of ATs becoming PCs...who knows. He's said that synonymous comment for 4 ATs/Pokemon: Meowth, Grey Fox, Saki, Little Mac and Waluigi. Is this a coincidence?
