I'm really curious how they're going to work all the characters in. Are you going to keep conveniently losing a character (like Mario to the cannon ball) or will there be more splitting off into groups. If it's the later, will you get to chose which group to follow.
It could be a really complex system similar to Star Fox 64 where depending on choices you take different arcs, encounter different people and ultimately even affect the ending (although Star Fox only had two endings, good and better)

it depends if your doing co-op or not.. in the SSE vids it always freezes on a pose and you chose one character to play as. if it were co-op then yoshi would be fighting with link. i hope there are multiple chioce-based storylines you can chose. im a sucker for that kinda stuff. i love the link/yoshi cooperation! altho im sad cos the both my characters and il only be able to control one of them..
i was thinking since in the sse pics there are some with mario fighting petey instead of kirby.. does that mean they chose mario and kirby gets hit by the cannon ball to go join pit? interesting...

Yoshi is actually there because he was called in as a substitiute horse. Epona had a head cold.
I think if you play 2-player then Mario sticks around long enough to be support, but I'm not sure.

Actually, I can see Fox and Diddy peacefully existing in the same universe. I can see DK's land being a backwater planet in Fox's universe. They're both animals of a fairly similar style. Other then that, yeah, those are some weird twists of fate. |

I bet Yoshi was in a herd of Yoshis at some Hyrule Land. One brave Yoshi decides to join Link in his quest to rescue Zelda from Wario OR (someone more villainous who stole Zelda from Wario)
