Yes.  There's also the "Database Error" down below where the who's online should be.  I assumed that someone has already mentioned this and the chat-based troubles... but then again, the good old Bystander Effect might have kicked in.  The interesting thing about the chat troubles is that you can see people who enter after you and what they say, and you can see rooms being created.  If they were there when you entered, however, you see no confirmation they are in the room, and their posts are invisible to you.  You can have conversations by using /back since, even though you don't see them or what they post, the chat records everything being said.  It works like so: (this exact conversation never occured if, you're wondering):

 Grin[BewareOfUmbrella]: Goat
[Malin posts "Cow," but it doesn't show up on my chat log because she was here before me.]
 Grin[BewareOfUmbrella]: Pig
 Grin[BewareOfUmbrella]: /back 3
 Grin[BewareOfUmbrella]: Goat
[MalinAGAIN]: Cow
 Grin[BewareOfUmbrella]: Pig

Even though Malin, when posting, was invisible to me, her words are recorded in the chat log for when I use /back.

I've tried to enter chat 5 times in the past hour but no-one else appears to be in there.

Everything has been pretty unreliable.  Chat kicks people out more then usual, it freezes more, the forum crashes, it takes 20 seconds to load a page, etc...

the web and database servers have been going down more frequently lately . usually , the reason for these problems are network related overloads , but they can also be caused by power failures or network failures at the site of the service provider .

to repair them , i usually just restart the problematic daemon and then repair any database tables that were left in a crashed state . this has been more difficult for me to do since the network problems are still persisting while i try to make repairs . also , i will be very busy at home this week as i pack my things to move to california .

the error messwage at the bottom of the screen is related to the chat connections , and usually , access will be restored to the chat room when i repair that table . the most helpful thing you can do is send me a message containing any error message you've seen at the bottom of the screen , so i can give some attention to that particular message .

i'll be checking back from time to time , but as a general remedy , we will jsut have to wait for the network drop-outs to calm down .

Funny thing is, when Bryan ignored me, I kept getting those messages over and over and he told me he stopped, despite the decision, it came anyways.  I got mad at first, then we talked it over and thought something really went wrong from my side.
