12/12 Game Mode: Options*

This is the main menu!

Here you can find these six areas.

• Group
• Solo
• Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
• Vault
• Options
• Data

Today, I’m going to introduce Options.

All options are colored purple.

Deflicker



Choose between graphics that are razor sharp
or nice and smooth.

This is... Well, it’s sort of hard to explain using only static shots, but try toggling it on and off on your own TV. Play with the setting that fits your taste.

Rumble



Set rumble separately
for Gamecube Controllers and Wii Remotes.

Toggle the proverbial buzz-buzz on your controllers on and off.

Just remember, the Classic Controller doesn’t have rumble, so don’t get too carried away.

You can also set rumble preferences for each logged name.

Sound



The slider goes left and right.

You can use this to adjust the balance between the game’s music and sound effects.

Oh, a sound test is also available from the first time you power the game on!

Flip through by title or category.

There’s quite a few songs available, so I’ve decided to also divide things up by category this time.

You mean I can listen to sound effects from my favorite character all I want?

Erase Data



This is by far the most dangerous of the option modes.

Yeaaah... Don’t fiddle around with these options.

I mean it now. Don’t mess around on this screen.

Seriously now. I’m not playing here.

Each of these modes is designed to let you tweak the game to match your own preferences, but obviously you don’t have to mess around with these options if you don’t feel like it.

This update kinda sucked.  the only thing I like about it is now we know what the main menu looks like.  lol

After one kind of boring but kind of okay update and one that was actually somewhat interesting I can only say we took a HUGE step backward....ugh.  Well, at least we got a music track and at least with this we'll never have to hear from the options menu again...hopefully...

we should be glad about this update actually, lol. sakurai couldve chopped this up and stretched it for an entire week (ie: monday: group menu, tuesday:solo menu, wednesday:rumble options...). hopefully no more menu stuff will come up on the updates... but i doubt it.

I told you guys that VS mode is now Group mode...haha...I knew it!

i liked this update . ever time we get to see new screens , the game feels a little bit closer to being real .

yeah, to be truthful...I loved this update. The ice climber music was real cool! The game screen looks more eye-friendly and fun instead of technical and arena-ish. And I'm real glad that you have sound test from the start. It's just that you need the cds to make the sound test work. That's great!

lol yes now we can turn the music off so you can only hear the death cries. anyone tried this on mario strikers?

Why doesn't Sakurai put a lock code for the "erase data" option? This was my problem in old smash games...that's why my file in Smash 64 got deleted. I hate that option. Kids could easily access that and poof, your progress is deleted. Is there anyway to have a lock on that?

i dont have any kids either so........but i do know what you mean by getting a lock,or a password to get on that screen.but i dont have to worry i have my own way of keeping my brothers&sisters away from my games,i threaten and or torture them its real simple really,if you have siblings like this just tell them well since you want to play so bad take the system.......but good luck playing it from the inside of youre rectum,and keep in mind that chivalry is dead so............ (JK JK dont anybody put there hands on women EVER,because if you do then let Chaos rain......let Chaos rain on the person who did ).

usually , a game will ask "are you sure ?" before deleting any data .

Honestly i was so dissapointed in this update that i actually laughed. I knew boring updates were in progress but this one imo takes the cake of, "Uhhh yea, so?" It was bland but at the same time something like this was a little expected, just funny to see update on "All options are colored purple" and "The slider goes left and right." Lol ah well for being a bummer update it made me laugh, so in that sense it was a success...sort of heh.
