Hero of the Black Mesa incident! Destroyer of aliens! Saviour of mankind! Nice glasses! It can only be Half-Life's main character, Gordon Freeman.

Like Snake, his arsenal is varied but will be familiar to his legions of fans, of which there are many and are also pretty varied.

Gordon's special moves
  Standard Special Move
Crowbar
Side Special Move
Gravity Gun
Up Special Move
Flashbang
Down Special Move
Rebar Crossbow
  Final Smash
Antilon Attack

While we disapprove of guns and blood, don't underestimate Gordon without them! The crowbar is his quintessential melée weapon.

The Gravity gun's default setting is as a repulsor beam. It does damage, but is better close up for bigger blowback.

Pressing in the opposite direction to where Gordon is facing will turn the gun into it's tractor setting - useful as a recovery technique! And also for getting rid of nasty items...

Don't look at the flashbang grenade, otherwise your character will go dizzy!

The rebar crossbow is slow to charge, but is a dangerous projectile - a current passes through the steel until it glows white hot! Normally that would disembowel someone very gorily, but not in Smash.

For his final smash, a Portal opens up, and the Antilons come to terrorise the stage! Gordon gets 3 bugbaits, or pheropods, to throw which attract the Antilons to their target - make sure you don't get hit! But if you do, run! If you can!

Stages are plenty - of course mainly based on Black Mesa & City 17. Could have headcrab & necrotic zombie hazards.

Items - the Portal gun?!

Assist Trophies - Alyx, headcrabs... The Team Fortress Crew?!

Nice updates Chad Grin .  But there is just one flaw in  all of these updates.  Ever notice there's a black smudge on the bar with the name and symbol?  If you can better see it, you can edit it so it can match the background color.

Btw, I have an update request.  Reject it if you must, but I would love to see Nightmare as a playable character (from the SC series).

Hope that fixes it. I can't make out the difference in shades there, as I've turned my monitor's gamma setting up.

... SC? Soul Calibur?

I'm trying to fathom how that could work in Smash.

Could be a hazard for a Black Mesa Test Chamber stage. Imagine having the trolley there in the middle of the stage, the big reactor/laser (?) to the side, and smashing the trolley into the beam starts the explosions & lets the aliens loose.

I'm trying to fathom how [the Portal gun] could work in Smash.

I'd guess it would just make mid air portals based on how far you charge the gun and tilt the stick? Or you could put a hole in the floor, and one out on the edge of the stage, in mid air...

Yeah, now I can see it better.  I used to make the same mistake in the past.
