the website was unavailable for several hours tonight , as it has been once or twice in the past . there seems to be a problem with the server which prevents other machines from making any connections to it , including the connections that i need to make in order to repair the problem . when this happens , i have to write to the provider and ask them to restart the machine manually .
last time this happened , we ended up with a non-working chat room (which i later fixed) and this time , one of the source files for the forum code got zeroed out , which is why many of you were getting php errors popping up .
i don't think there's much i can do about this . i've written to the guys that own the server farm and they said they can replace the hardware if the problem continues .
if you know anyone that is still having problems connecting , please tell them to go directly to smashpower.com and log in fresh in order to correct any problems they may be having .
