Hey guys. Dont expect me to be on all the time, k? I just want to get good at reviewing. First up is...
Mario kart Wii! Lets-a go!
Mario kart Wii is the newest in a long line of racing games starring mario and friends, and my personal favorite. Mario Kart Wii brings to the table many innovations to the series, such as bikes and mid-air tricks. Mario Kart Wii is also bring the Wii Wheel, packaged with the game. The Wii Wheel is nintendo's way of making mario kart more casual, and a hardcore fan like me preferes this over the gamecube controller. It only takes 1 or 2 races to get used to the wheel, and after that there is no going back. It feels great and is a very smart move by nintendo.
The reason that makes this kart the best is the online play. MKW's online play far surpasses any nintendo attempt so far. Its easy to connect and find people to play against. Picking a stage online is simple, choose the stage you want,(or you can pick random.), and once everyone has chosen a stage is chosen randomly out of the bunch. The racing is top noch, not a hint of lag. And at 60 FPS too! You can also do all of this in battle mode online. If there is only one reason for you to buy this game, the reason is the online play.
Bikes are a nice addition as well. They are much lighter and faster, with the ability to pop a wheelie, there by giving an extra boost of speed. I prefer bikes more that karts, mainly because of the wheelie ability. There are 25 characters to play as, with many new additions like roselina of Mario Galaxy fame, Dry Bowser from new super mario bros, the 4 babys,(baby mario, luigi, peach, and daisy) Funky Kong,(flat-out awesome) and your very own Mii! It is very cool to see your self riding a mororcycle and kart alongside the mushroom kingdom crew.
Another thing to note is the mario kart channel. Here, you can check to see if your friends are on, race ghosts, participate in tornimants, and check how good you are compared to the world. (Very cool) But there are some things that arent perfect in this great game, like the super hard 150cc, framerate drop when playing localy, and some of the retro stages are a little out of place. But in all, this is a solid title that you will keep playing for months, mabye years, to come.
Final verdict:9/10
