Who do you think is going to get cut for SSB4? And who has already been cut do you think will return?

I think Roy will return and no one will be cut for SSB4

Snake and Sonic definiitely have a risk of being "one time" guests.

I think MewTwo has a better chance of returning than Roy.  Dr. Mario and Pichu have next to no comeback chance.  Lucario has a good shot of being replaced with whatever pokemon is most popular at the time.

Toon Link, Wolf, Ganondorf, and Falco also have risks of disappearing in that order (with Toon Link being most likely and Falco being least likely)

I don't see anybody else as likely.  Then again, they might feel the need to make more cuts on the next game, as their numbers are getting high, and too many fighters can end up ruining the game.

(bold mine)

Seriously, Ganondorf? I'm thinking he needs a new moveset really but he shouldn't leave. He's the main antagonist to the LoZ! Why remove him?

I'm pretty sure that Toon Link will be replaced, unless he is made into some upcoming LoZ games. Midna will probably be the one to replace him. I don't know why Roy would come back. I have never even heard of any of these Fire Emblem characters until melee came out. I think they might keep sonic in because everyone wanted him so badly in the first place. Snake for me has  a 50/50 chance of staying in. Nobody really thought of him being in Brawl, but I guess everyone seems to have enjoyed him in it.

I didn't say it's likely, I just think he's got more of a chance of being cut than most of the gallery, mostly due to him still being a clone, albeit rather Luigi-ish at this point.

If his moveset were changed to something completely original, then he'd be removed from that list, although that could also be interpreted as being cut in a way.

Toon Link's been in more games (Phantom Hourglass) and is more recent than Midna.  Unless Midna get's a spot in another Zelda game (which I'm rather doubtful of) than she's not going to show up in Smash any more than Malon will.  Fire Emblem is much more popular in Japan, than here, but Roy will likely not be coming back because Roy was only there in the first place because he was the most recent hero (same reason Ike got in).  Marth gets to stay because he's the hero from the first game.

On that note, Ike has a shot at being cut to make way for yet another FE character.  His move set kind of walks the border between original character and Luigi-class clone, but I think he's "original" enough that he'll be fine.

I think that they'll be taking out Lucario for an even "new and cooler" pokemon. Also, I have a strange feeling that Ike will be cut and be replaced by some other FE guy that has the same fire sword attack thingy. Toon Link will probably be replaced by another mini version of Link(if there are other versions), and maybe they'll take out Lucas for another character in Ness' games. Other than that, I don't think they'll get anyone back that has been cut before.

I say leave everyone in bring no one back and add about 10 characters(maybe get rid of Toon Link and swap him out for Masks Link(Deku, Goron, and Zora Link FTW).I also think that another Zelda character from the new game yet to be released will be playable in the fourth Smash game. Tweak all clones movesets to make them at least luigified. But we all need to remember that we haven't had any confirmation on a fourth game so don't get your hopes up.

You shouldn't bring our hopes down. It makes it seem even more like they aren't going to make another when you say something like that. Let's just say we are anticipating for a new game like this.

It's too soon to confirm a new game. It's been almost 2 years since our last Zelda console game and we still haven't gotten any confirmation on a new Zelda game(although it's an accepted fact that they will keep making Zelda games) but I think there's an 80% chance of a new Smash game.

There will most likely be a SSB4, but not until Nintendo has a new platform to launch it on.

I have a feeling TL will be cut (or hopefully getting a new moveset, along with Ganon), and that Lucario will be replaced with another pokemon, or just add another pokemon.
