In a surprise event, Zero will be the representative from the Capcom's famed Megaman series.  Blasting out with his old style armor and Z-saber.  He's ready to bring it all to the table.

Zero brings an unusual combination of speed and weight to the table, allowing him to break through many defenses, but watch out, his extra weight and poor recovery abilities could spell doom for you if you fall.

Zero's Special Moves
Standard Special Move - Raijingeki
Side Special Move - Shippuga
Up Special Move - Ryuenjin
Down Special Move - Rakuhouha
Final Smash - Giga Crush

Zero's moves draw primarily from his original game.  His Raijengeki extends his sword to a massive length, catching opponents off guard but leaving him vulnerable.

The Shippuga lets him dart in with an attack, which also serves well for recovery.

The Ryuenjin is a flaming upwards slash with his sword, that propels him up and over.

The Rakuhouha functions differently if you use it on the ground or in the air.  On the ground it sends out a spray of energy bullets in all directions, but in the air, you rocket to the ground and trash anybody in your path.

His Final Smash is the Giga Crush, which sends out a series of massive explosions blasting anybody nearby.  These exposions shoot up from the ground, so try to stand in the middle of lower platforms, to maximize the threat zone.

Mario can't stand up to Zero's powerful saber swing.

I especially enjoyed the second picture. Don't know much about Zero so nice to get some backstory.

Zero is my favorite character in the Megaman series. The only series I know he was in is the Megaman X series.

You had to use Pikachu sending Mario flying and make it look like Zero did it. Good job!

I like it. The moveset seems a bit Ike-ish to me though.

His Up move is, but the rest is pretty different.  They're all based off of his super moves from Megaman 4

Truly the end of an era.  Mostly because it was supposed to be the last one (or was that 5?).  Regardless, it marks the height of the X games, and everything began to fall apart after that.

X5 was. I don't know why they made a 6. X6 was a mess. The new ones are all just meh

All the ones before X6 were great, but the original was the best in the series in my opinion.

How the heck did I miss this discussion? Anyway...

First of all, really nice work Owen Smiley. Too bad nothing like that ever happened in Brawl.

I agree, X4 was great, X5 was lousy, and X6 was a joke Smiley. X4 was incredible, as it introduced so many great features and answered a lot of questions (and generated more, for that matter). Being able to play as Zero indefinitely was a wonderful improvement. X5 improved upon many things, but it still managed to go downhill - the only thing I really liked about it was all the plot revelations. X6 was a disaster. The stage designs, plot, and irritation level was totally beyond redeeming.

ZERO is the BEST

Of course he's the best! He's WAY cooler than MegaMan and has a sword. Too bad the games were usually only about MegaMan.... Zero all the way man!!
