I think what they need to do with Toon Link is really just Luigify him. Off the top of my head, replace his bombs with dropping bombchus. Have his boomerang go through people to strike multiple targets. Replace his spin attack (which becomes his down A smash) with the leaf, and give him bomb arrows.
Yeah, that way, you can keep the Link-ness of the character but still make him feel way more different. |

I like the idea of his side + b being his skull hammer. Up+B could be his grappling hook, then just stick with his hookshot for a grab. B could be the deku leaf he swings. Down + B might work with a parry. I love that idea, but it does seem to overused in other characters because it does represent a counter.
As for Ganondorf, I just know that I want his energy ball he shoots out as part of his moveset. I don't know what else though.

I don't care about Ganandorf, and I think toon link is better than regular link. I never use boring link, only toon link. His moves are faster and he has cute taunts .

In their preview articles entitled "Smash it up". They took guesses/suggestions for new possible characters, and they put up Toon Link way before you did. |

They never posted a possible moveset for him they just said "This new tooned-out hero could draw on an entirely separate set of items and abilities from Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass to fuel a fresh, non-cloned moveset, and he could be a fun addition to play." But the IGN people put their comments and I vaguely remember someone mentioning the deku leaf. Now that I think about it, I kinda mentioned it too on IGN.
