i thought of somthing...sakurai said that you are aloud to change languages in brawl. so unlike in pokemon games, there is no either you read japanese or get the english version. so japan gets brawl on feb. 24, say a japanese dude puts brawl on ebay. a average american can by it, and put it in the wii, go under language, and switch it to english. i doubt the japanese version would be much diffrent than english, except for maybe a few gliches that wont be patched up till the american version, but in some cases that can be a good thing. so, i think sakurai wont know the untied staes will be playing brawl before feb. 10.

ive thought about this (being so far away from the release date) but it turns out Wiis are completely region locked. (jap wii games only work on japanese wiis which i think only work on NTSC TVs).. unless you mod your wii.. but if you do mod your wii, certain updates may cause the wii to discontinue functioning and youv modified it illegally so theres no refunds of any kind and it just seems like such a stupid risk (or a stupid idea to never update your wii again) just to play brawl a few weeks earlier.

also i DONT think there will be much done in the way of changing the game between JAP and the rest of the world because like most wii games that are wi fi enabled, to be able to face someone on the other side of the world (with a different version of smash) theyd have to have the same mechanics, for example the boomerang glitch was fixed between NTSC and PAL versions of melee but if they were able to go online, what would happen to the PAL version when the NTSC version tried to use the boomerang glitch?

im just guessing tho cos i actually dont know the answer to that lol

Well...here's another thing...you can't really have your wii modified because nintendo senses the modification via the internet. However, there is a blocking chip that would allow you to do so. Haha...all of these could be found here! But honestly, I'd rather wait for the US one.

that's why you need to have modifications...maybe you can have a nintendo rep modify it to have both regions.

i think the use of inter-region discs was disabled to help prevent piracy .
