I've been wondering for a while now about the number of characters in Brawl. I want to know a few facts:
1) How many characters do you think will be in Brawl?(you can estimate like 20-25)
2)How many characters would you be satisfied with?
3)About how many characters will be unlockables?
Now I'll anwser. 1) 30-35
2)30-35
3)about 15
So any thoughts?

30-35. 40 max. Im doubting the return of the clones. Only ones that deserve to come back are ness and falco. im guessing 10-15 will be unlockable. Probably 15. I would be satisfied if they kept all the characters from melee and just had all the characters they have revealed now.

I'm betting on 40-45 as well and i'd be satisfied with...ummm...40-45 heh. 15 of those i think will be unlockable depending on what the starting roster consists of.

So far we have 22 characters(not includeing ZSS). And I think that they are the only starters. And it seems to me that people think there will be 15 unlocks which I agree with so that makes the roster 37. So I think that there will be 37 characters and I would be satisfied with 37 characters.

50 seems like way too much. The pics in the selection screen would be tiny. How many characters were in Melee?

50 characters for Brawl would be cool but i highly doubt that there would be that many.
But just imagine double the characters of Melee, that would be awesome!

Yea 50 characters would be nice but i don't really see it happening. Wouldn't it be a surprise though if you were sitting there and thinking, " Holy crap, i've unlocked 15 new stages and 20 new characters..." heh it wont happen but still would be cool to see.

Honestly, we have no way of knowing, and don't even really have much in the way of making educated guesses. The only real hint we have was that it went from 12 to 25, (either +13 or x2) so that means that 40 (25+13 = 38 rounded up to 40) or 50 (25x2) are likely, but that's still just wild guessing, since they're likely goal is simply "as many as we can fit, (and then round it off to a nice number with clones)"
We'll just ahve to wait and see.

Around about 40 characters I reckon, but I'd be happy with about 30-35. About half will be unlockable. We'll just have to wait and see though

probably around 35-45. I doubt they'll put in a lot, seeing as how they're trying to remove clones.
I'd be happy with 30 or more. Emphasis on more.
Lets see... there were 8 starting characters in SSB64, 14 in SSBM, so I'd say 20 starting characters in Brawl. So that leaves 15-25 unlockable characters.
Sounds like a mission to me.
